“Hey! I’m getting married August 13th 2010, and I have no idea what I’m doing! I’m not using bridesmaids or anything, but my main colors are dark purple, and orange with super light green accents. I want to know what kinds of flowers in what colors are in season in August, and how to use them to decorate for our outdoor reception without spending tons of money. I also know that I like cascading bouquets, but I don’t know what flowers to use in that either. I can’t wait to see what you can come up with, I’m sure it will be awesome! Thanks a bunch!!!
Tasha, I created your inspiration board with flowers in orange and purple with hints of green. I think the arrangements and bouquet would look beautiful made up with purple anemone and/or gerbera daisies, orange roses, and the green purple hydrangea. You can add and use the snapdragon, lilies, or even the blossom branch to create the base for your cascading bouquet (since they are naturally longer flowers). These 3 flowers will also made simple, easy, and beautiful centerpieces as well. Simply put a few stems in a tall thin vase and perhaps surround the vase with votive candles. The blossoms would be a more modern look where the lilies more classic. I hope this helps!
