I am hoping you can help me. My fiance and I are getting married on October 2, 2010 on our alpaca farm in Western NY. Our wedding colors are pale pink, sage, and ivory with maybe an accent of chocolate. Throughout our decorations, we use the imagery of a braid to symbolize the three people in our marriage…me, my fiance and God. After our wedding, we will be having a brunch and then taking our guests on a 6-hour wine trail tour for wine tastings on a limo bus. At the end of the trail, we will be staying at one of the wineries for a sit down formal dinner in a country barn setting. Basically, I would like to carry a small bouquet to the alter (and possibly a small flower or two in my upswept hair) and have a few other flowers that can be used for the brunch tables (which people will be sitting at during the ceremony…so nothing too tall), then moved to the bus and then on to the dinner. I love Chiffon ribbon (especially your sheer romantic ribbon)…anything girly like that. I hope I am not impossible 🙂
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
Tacha, I created your inspiration board with flowers in ivory, pink, and green. I also used the flower types that you like — that’s the wonderful thing about silks, any style, any time! I think the bouquets would be beautiful made up with ivory carnations and roses, pink orchids, and green gerbera daisies. Add in some green eucalytpus (or other greenery) to soften the look. Finish the bouquets with a beautiful sheer or satin and sheer pink ribbon and accent that with ivory pins. The bouquet will look so romantic! You could also use the bouquets as your arrangements for the reception as well. Simply place them in vases once you arrive. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
P.S. The orchids would make beautiful hair pieces!
