Natalie’s Wisteria Purple and Maize Yellow Inspiration Board

“Hi LeAnne,

I came across your website via search engine and was really amazed at how beautiful the floral arrangements and inspiration boards are. We are getting married 10-10-10 and I would really like help with ideas for ceremony decorations, altar pieces, arch decorations and arrangements for the tables at the cocktail reception. The wedding is indoors but the towering glass windows overlooking the lake at the venue (http://www.themontage.info) are truly daunting when it comes to creating décor in keeping with the scale of the room.I want something tasteful that works with the room but does not clash with nature. Please help!

Thank you so much!
Natalie”‘

Natalie, I created your inspiration board with flowers in purples and yellows (which match the wisteria and maize colored dresses). I think if you created your wedding arrangements with softer shades of theses colors, and perhaps added some cream tones — the wedding flowers wouldn’t compete with the natural beauty of your wedding venue. For the bouquets, maybe make them with a combination of roses, lilies, and magnolia. For the centerpieces/altar arrangements, keep them simple by choosing on main flower type and placing several in a tall thin vase. Or use natural branches and decorate them with flower blooms. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
