My name is Meghan and I will be getting married in October of 2011. I’m just starting to plan, and when I found you I was very excited to see what you could do to help. My dress will be purple with white embroidery. I would like my maid of honor to be in green, but she has fair skin, red hair and freckles, so I’m trying to not put her in a green that will make her look washed out or would otherwise not complement her skin tone. Any ideas you have to contribute would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!
Meghan, David’s Bridal has a great green color called Clover, that is very pretty!! The model for the dress style I picked for the board is fair skinned with red hair, and it looks great on her! I created your inspiration board with flowers in purples and green — including pictures of the lisianthus flowers you liked. If you went with bridesmaids dresses in a green similar to Clover, I think the bouquets would look great made up with purple roses, purple lisianthus, lilac snapdragon, green bells of ireland, and green hydrangeas. Finish the look with a purple ribbon wrapped around the bouquet stems and accent that with green pins. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
