“I ran across this site and was hoping you could help me. Flowers have become the hardest part of the wedding planning thus far. The wedding will be held in the spring, and the colors will be lilac and ivory with a hint of pale pink as an accent color. My hope is that this wedding will have a “vintage” feel with a contemporary touch. I want the feeling to be whimsical, soft, and romantic but not boring.
I also need help with grooms men, bridesmaids, and everyone who receives flowers!!! Groomsmen will be in a black tux with lilac underneath, the groom will be in a black tux with all ivory underneath, bridesmaids will be in lilac dresses with an ivory tie.
I hope you can help me with this. I’ve seen other inspiration boards and you seem to hit the nail on the head! Please let me know if you have any questions!!
Thanks so much,
Brittney, I created your inspiration board with flowers in lilac pink, soft lavenders, and ivory. I used roses, peonies, and hydrangea — all flowers that have a romantic and vintage look and feel to them. For the bouquets, why not create them using vanilla and antique lavender roses, antique lavender peonies, and lilac hydrangea. You can then use the vanilla rose bud boutonniere for men, perhaps adding the lavender ribbon accent around the stems. For your centerpieces — why not simply use the lilac hydrangea and lavender peonies — these are both large flowers that will be easy to arrange and you won’t need many to do so. You could find different silver vintage looking vases and simply place a few stems of eah into them. Perhaps accent the tables with tea lights or votives as well. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
