I am getting married in June 2010. The bridesmaid dresses are going to be the color Apple from David’s Bridal and I wanted to use orange as an accent color in the flower arrangements. I really love gerbera daises and tiger/day lilys and would like to incorporate those into a hand-tied bouquet for my bridesmaids if possible. The bouquets will be placed in vases and used on the head table at the reception. I am just confused as to what other flowers would compliment gerberas and lilies and fit into a red/orange wedding? Please help.
Angie, I created your inspiration board with flowers in red and orange. I made sure to include orange day lilies and gerbera daisies. I also included roses, ranunculus, dahlia, and hydrangea — all flowers that will look great paired with the lilies and gerbera daisies. For the bouquets, why not make them using the orange day lilies, red gerbera daisies, and either red roses or orange hydrangeas. Wrap an orange ribbon around the stems and accent with red pins to complete the look. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
