“Hello my name is Amneh and I am getting married on April 16, 2011. We have just decided our colors are going to be Regency (purple) and orange. I love bold bright flowers! The bridesmaids will be wearing Regency colored dresses from David’s Bridal (possibly an orange sash). The groom and groomsmen will be wearing black tuxes with Regency vest and tie underneath (possibly an orange boutonniere??)

Please help me LeAnne!!

Amneh, I created your inspiration board with flowers in purple and bright orange. I think the bouquets would look great made up with orange roses, orange lilies, and purple ranunculus or gerbera daisies. Complete the bouquet’s look by adding a colored ribbon and pins. For the boutonnieres, you could make them using a smaller sized orange rose with a purple ribbon wrapped stems. I hope this helps!

Orange Garbo Ribbon, Orange Rose Bud, Orange Ranunculus, Purple Ranunculus, Orange Garden Lily, Orange Cosmos Spray, Purple Iris, Orange Open Rose, Dark Purple Gerbera Daisy.

  1. I am getting married this summer in late August. I too would love to use purple and orange but darker colors. every place i went to seems to think this colors dont belong together! Having trouble finding the right flowers. I first thought was orange tiger lilies with smaller purple flowers. The dresses are eggplant chiffon, what do you think?

  2. I think the combination of bright orange and purple is simply stunning! Making the bouquet with a dark purple flower and accent with larger orange lilies would look beautiful. Perhaps use purple roses, ranunculus, or even hydrangeas.
