Flower arranging is always more fun with a buddy.  I had my “assistant” helping me today.  She is trying to make it look like she’s measuring ribbon, but I’m pretty sure she’s just playing.

While your assistant is busy measuring ribbon, choose the flowers and greenery that you will need for the bouquet.  We have selected artificial branches, some greenery stems, and an assortment of flowers, with different textures, in shades of coral and pink.

Step 1.  Using wire cutters, trim any leaves or thorns from the flower stems.

Step 2.  Gather your larger focal flowers and start arranging them into the desired shape that you want your bouquet to be.  Add in the medium and smaller sized flowers wrapping with floral tape as you go.

Step 3.  Use your filler flowers and greenery to fill in any gaps in your bouquet.  Continue to wrap the stems with floral tape.  Using wire cutters, trim the ends of the stems to the desired length.

Step 4.  Finish off the stems with your ribbon of choice, starting toward the bottom of the flower stems and wrapping all the way up to the base of the flowers.  Tie the ribbon in a knot at the base of the flowers, leaving extra length for the “tails”.  Take the sequin trim and wrap it just like the ribbon, starting toward the bottom of the flower stems and wrapping up to the base of the flowers.  Secure the sequin trim by tying a knot at the base of the flowers, leaving a “tail” as well.

Step 3.  Wrap the stems with the ribbon of your choice, starting close to the bottom of the flower stems and wrapping up to the base of the flowers.  Wrap a small piece of sequin trim around the top of the ribbon and tie it in a knot.  Secure the ribbon and trim with a dab of hot glue.
