Create Your Own Wedding Oasis

Dreaming of escaping to the tropics for your wedding?  Audrey of Botanica created a tropical oasis with artificial flowers and leaves from  With faux stems you can create a tropical wedding anywhere and any time of year.

Floral backdrops are a fun and hot trend right now.  Not only are they gorgeous if done in all foliages, but you can add a “pop” of color as we have with these tropicals to really make an interesting statement piece.  Having multi-purposes, this backdrop can be used not only for a ceremony background, and then moved or utilized for a backdrop for a photobooth, dessert bar, or sweetheart table.

For construction:  We used wire panels you can find at your home improvement store, and simply zip tied moss mats to the wire structure.  Then layering and inserting the foliage stems, we wove the stems through the back side and secured with more zip ties.  It was really simple and easy!

The large monstera leaves we used to place on the table were great because they lay nice and flat.  They ground the centerpiece and really allowed for all of the colorful tropical flowers to “pop.”

We loved working with the foliage plants and using these as design elements on either sides of the aisle.  Again, I love re-purposing any design pieces to the reception, so after the wedding, these plants that lined the aisle, we’ve used as additional decor for the reception area.

Loved working with all of the blue products.  I don’t believe in working with live, dyed flowers – there’s too much risk in getting dye on a brides dress.  I love the blue orchids because these can be submerged, the quality is amazing and they are versatile to use within different designs.

The blue agate stones are great to use to incorporate into a place setting, escort cards, dessert tags or favors.

As a designer, it’s nice having quality faux product on hand that we can use for an event showcase, bridal show or in a pinch if needed for an event.  Faux lasts forever and you get great longevity and usability out of the product.

Decorate your tropical wedding in  The real touch orchids and leaves are so realistic and will last a lifetime.  Find all of the product used in this tropical oasis HERE.
