Janice’s Orange, Yellow, and Green Wedding Inspiration Board

Janice writes:
“My daughter is getting married Sept. 11, 2010. Her fiancé, best man, and groomsmen are wearing black tuxs with camo vest/ties. The bridesmaids are wearing latte (David’s bridal) and the junior bridesmaids are wearing truffle (David’s bridal). She likes the gerbera daisies and I would like your opinion on colors. I was thinking maybe orange, yellow with some green. Any help would be appreciated. She is getting married outdoors.
Janice”

Janice, I think that orange, yellow, and green is a great color combination. I created your inspiration board with flowers in these colors — those I used more muted tones. I think the bouquets would look great made up of green roses, orange ranunculus, and yellow hydrangeas. Complete the look of the bouquets by wrapping the stems in an orange ribbon and accent with green or yellow pearl pins. I hope you like your inspiration board!

Danielle’s Blue, Yellow, and Pink Wedding Inspiration Board

Danielle writes:
“Hi! I stumbled across your site while researching wedding bouquets for hours on end! I am amazed at what you do for brides. I am getting married September 12, 2010. I am stuck on what to do for centerpieces and bouquets for me and the girls. I will be in white, my fiancé will be in white, and the girls will be in a black A-line dress with “cornflower” blue sash from David’s Bridal. I like watermelon pink as an accent color. I’m on an extremely tight budget and love how economical and pretty the hydrangea is and gerbera daisies are my absolute favorite! I really like tall centerpieces, but can’t afford most of them. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!
Danielle”

Danielle, you have a very pretty color palette! I created your inspiration board with flowers in pink, blue, and yellow. I think the bouquets would look beautiful made up with the soft yellow roses, cerise gerbera daisies, and blue hydrangea accents. If you didn’t like the roses, you could use yellow and cerise gerbera daisies with the hydrangea. Add the black with a black satin ribbon around the stems. For the centerpieces — mitsumata branches are a great idea. The case seems a little pricey, but you get A LOT of branches in a case. These are bleached branches they can be spray painted any color, you could even add a glitter spray to fancy them up. I think the branches would be a simply, inexpensive but beautiful way to make centerpieces. You can also add hanging crystals, jewels, birds, or even small flower blooms to the branches. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Jessica’s Orange, Yellow, and Watermelon Pink Inspiration Board

Jessica writes:
“Hello!!

My fiance and I are getting married on October 10, 2010 and I’m having a terrible time trying to match flowers with the bridesmaids dresses I picked out. I want a good variety of flowers in some sort of fall colors. I want something deep and rich in color, but also something that would compliment the watermelon colored dresses. We live in South Carolina and will be having the ceremony outside at a beautiful Charleston looking house, and we’re trying to keep the look a little less formal yet still sophisticated.

Thank you so much for your help!!
Jessica”

Jessica, I created your inspiration board with various flowers in oranges, greens, yellows, and a hint of peach pink. I think the bouquets would look great made up with yellow sunflowers, the deep orange gerbera daisies, green dahlia, and a hint of pink peach roses or peach aprioct dahlias (to bring in the watermelon color). The pink roses will lighten the bouquets up a little, where the dahlias will keep with the deeper tones. You could even incorporate brown flowers into the bouquets instead of one of the above colors for a more fall look. I hope this helps give you some ideas.

“Hi,
In August I will be celebrating my 20th wedding aniversary. I live in the caribbean so the dinner party will be under a white tent outdoors. I wish to do a sunflower theme. I want the sunflower to be dominant perhaps with some orange, lime green and brown. I do like things like the curly willow. The napkins will be tie with natural color rafia (so far).
Thanks, I look forward to your suggestions.
Ariadne”

Ariadne, I created your inspiration board with flowers in green, orange, and yellow. Brooke’s Cognac Orange, Green, and Yellow Inspiration Board

Brooke writes:
“Hi there. I am getting married in October of this year and going with the fall theme. I really like the gerbera daisy bouquets and am looking for guidance on something bright and cheerful, but yet small and simple, that will not clash with the dresses. My reception decor is earthtone autumn candles atop of coffee beans in a cylinder vase, silk fall leaves, and ceramic leaf tea lights in green/yellow and rust/yellow. Any ideas?
-Thanks for your help!
Brooke”

Brooke, I created your inspiration board with mostly gerbera daisies in orange, yellow, and green. I think this is a beautiful fall color combination that will look great with the dresses you have chosen. Gerbera daisies are a very in expensive but pretty flower! For smaller bouquets, you could use 5-6 for the bridesmaides and 8-10 for the bridal bouquet. You could even add in a brown rose or something yellow hydrangea accents to mix up the flower types. I hope this helps!
