Melanie’s Pink, Purple, and Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board

Melanie writes:
“I love the idea of using silk flowers for my wedding but have no idea what colors to use. The bridesmaids dresses will be aqua, the wedding will take place on the beach in Aruba and I would love to use calla liles, stargazer lilies, and two tone roses in my bouquet. Any advice? I want to add more colors to my wedding. I want the wedding to feel cheery and the flowers to contrast with the dresses nicely.
I cant wait to see what you come up with.
Thanks Melanie”

Melanie, I created your inspiration board with bright flowers in pinks, yellow, and shades of purple. I love all 3 of these colors next to the aqua! You could pick any combination of these colors, or use all 3! I think the bouquets would be stunning made up with purple and pink roses, purple calla lilies, and yellow stargazer lilies. Finish the bouquets by wrapping a colored ribbon around the stems and accenting it with colored pearl pins. I hope you like your inspiration board!

Jennifer’s Purple, Red, and Yellow Inspiration Board

Jennifer writes:
“Hi LeAnne!

I was hoping you would have some suggestions or advice for my Oct 2nd wedding. My bridesmaids are wearing Lapis dresses from David’s bridal in various dress fabrics and silhouettes, but all of the dresses are knee length. I was thinking of using red roses and purple filler flowers or accent flowers for my bouquet, and red roses and yellow gerberas or mini sunflowers with purple filler for the bridesmaid bouquets. Is this too much? I also love the warm orange colors of fall, so I’m tempted to incorporate that color as well, but I was told by others that the orange would “muddy” the red-yellow combo. I’m thinking of having red apples with yellow sunflowers or gerberas as the centerpieces, but I’m open to suggestions for that as well.

Thank you for your help!
Jennifer”

Jennifer, I love all of the flower and centerpieces ideas you have come up with so far!!! I created your inspiration board with red roses, yellow sunflower and gerbera, as well as purple accent flowers. I also included an orange rose — personally, if you went with a more golden yellow, I don’t think the orange would “muddy” the red and yellow, but take a look at all the colors together and see what you think! I think the bouquets would look amazing with red and orange roses, yellow sunflowers, and purple accents (snapdragon), in the various designs you mentioned above. For the centerpieces, I think the red apples with yellow sunflowers would be beautiful! Maybe add in some natural willow or raffia for more of a fall look. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Natalie’s Purple and Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board

Natalie writes:
“We are really excited about our upcoming wedding in October. Our wedding colors are canary yellow and purple with softer shades of the same colours for accents – I love spider mums and roses.

As a bride of Indian descent I have several events that will need floral decor. Silk is great because we will be able to use the same arrangements for our Sangeet, Mehndi and for the wedding. I would really appreciate any ideas that you could share with us. The bridesmaids are wearing David’s bridal F13128 in canary. I love the heavy beading on this, is there any way to incorporate beads in the floral arrangements?
Thank you! Natalie”

Natalie, I just love the combination of the bold yellow and purple! I created your inspiration board using flowers in these colors. Since your favorite flowers are roses and spider mums, I would absolutely use these to create the bouquets! I also put a spider gerbera daisy and purple snapdragon our your board, in case you wanted a 3rd flower types. Finish the bouquets by wrapping a purple ribbon around the stems and accenting with yellow pins. For the beading on a bouquet, we unfortunately don’t have anything to bead flowers specifically, but we do offer different crystal sprays you can add to the mix, or even bling bouquet jewels (which are stick on rhinestones) to jazz up the flowers. I hope this helps!

Clare’s Sage Green, Pink, and Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board

Clare writes:
“Hi LeAnne, have been looking at your fabulous colour boards and wondering if you can help me with colours! I’m getting married In Italy next April so it’ll be a late Spring wedding. I’m wearing ivory and I’m nearly sure my bridesmaids will be wearing sage green with an ivory sash. I’d love lots of colour to brighten up our dresses as they are quite simple. I’m also planning on wearing a flower in my hair and will be having a young flower girl who probably won’t hold a pomander but I may be able to get her to keep some floral hair piece in her hair!
Thank you!”

Clare, a wedding in Italy? How very exciting!!! I created your inspiration board with flowers in yellow, pink, orchid purple, and a hint of green. I think the bouquets would look beautiful made up with pink roses, yellow lilies, orchid snapgragons, and light green hydrangea accents. These flowers and colors will work together nicely to have a bright, but still spring-themed bouquet — almost wild flower like and romantic. You can complete the look with a beautiful satin ribbon and colored pearl headed pins! I also included 2 different hair combs on the board, but we have a few others available to check out: Flower Hair Pieces. If none of these will work, you could always simple take one of the flower types from the bouquet arrangement and hot glue the bloom to a hair comb for your own custom hair pieces. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Liza’s White, Yellow, Charcoal Grey, and Black Inspiration Board

Liza writes:
“Good morning, I am helping my friend put together her bouquet and floral table arrangements for her August 7, 2010 wedding. Her colors are black, white, charcoal grey and yellow. The wedding and reception are outdoors, and her hope is to have a very upscale look with a bit of whimsy thrown in. The table arrangements thus far incorporate glass vases, black rock, and white candles. We also purchased a couple white ostrich feathers to use possibly in the bouquet. I have looked at (and loved) other designs you have put together and cannot wait to see what you come up with! :) Liza”

Liza, I created your inspiration board with flowers in white and yellow with grey/silver and black accents. I did also include a black peony flower. I’m not sure if you would be interested in incorporated any actual black flowers in the bouquets, but just in case. :) If not, I think the bouquets would look great made up with white roses, yellow lilies, and white hydrangeas. You could accent the bouquet with black bouquet jewels or grey pussy willow branches. Complete the look by wrapping the stems with a black satin ribbon and accenting that with grey/silver pearl pins. You can them make smaller arrangements like the bouquet to use as smaller floral centerpieces in the glass vases with the rocks to secure them. Too many flowers? Simply use the premium hydrangeas as they are a beautiful and large flower all on their own. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
