Julie’s Truffle Brown and Watermelon Pink Inspiration Board

Julie writes:
“Hi,
I’ve just started getting into the planning part and am having trouble coming up with some ideas for flowers. I’m doing a beach wedding on Oct. 2, 2010. The links below the swatches for colors which are the Truffle and Watermelon, and possibly using an orange or maybe yellow as a small accent color. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Julie”

Julie, I created your inspiration board with flowers in brown and pink with yellow and orange accent flowers. I made sure to use a few gerbera daisies as well as other flower types that will work well with them. I think the bouquets would look great made up with brown ranunculus, pink gerbera daisies (maybe both the regular and the spider gerbs in the 2 different shades of pink), and orange spider dahlias as accents. I just love the bright pink paired with orange! I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Lorraine’s Mink Brown, White, and Blue Wedding Inspiration Board

Lorraine writes:
“Hello

I’m hoping you can help, I am getting married in April & need some flowers to go with my mink coloured Bridesmaid dresses and my plain white wedding dress. The bridesmaids dresses are off a satin material & almost a toffee colour. Please help (I do like the colour blue – would be great if you could compact all together).

Many Thanks
Lorraine
:o)”

Lorraine, I created your inspiration board with flowers in white, blue, and various shades of brown. The mink dress is definitely a toffee color, with an almost gray tone. I think the bouquets would look great made with the tan peonies (to match the dresses but not be overwhelmingly brown), blue hydrangea, and white lilies. This way you get all 3 colors in the mix — and it’ll look stunning! You could even add the pussy willow branches for a beautiful and unique accent. I hope you like your board!

Kendra’s Chocolate Brown and Apple Red Inspiration Board

Kendra writes:
“I need some advice for wedding flowers. I would like to make my bouquets using calla lilies, hydrangeas, and stargazer lilies. My colors are an apple red and chocolate. My bridesmaids will be wearing apple dresses from davids bridal. Thank you.”

Kendra, I created your inspiration board with flowers in reds and browns, but unfortunately we do not have any stargazer lilies available in either color. I put a white lily as well as a green on your inspiration board. Since the lily is such a large and beautiful flower, you may only want 1-2 in the bouquets. If you need this, a contrasting color such as the white or green would be stunning. For the rest of the bouquet, you could make them using brown roses, red calla lilies, and red hydrangeas. I hope this helps!

Nalja’s Ivory, Dark Brown, and Celadon Inspiration Board

Nalja writes:
“Hi, I am planning to get married December 11, 2010 and I want to make floral arragements for the centerpieces to set atop of 11 inch apothecary jars. I would need enough flowers for 12 center pieces similar to the pictures show for “Debra’s Pink, Green, and White Wedding.” I also love the idea of kissing balls and rose petal garlands. Thanks so much, I can’t wait to see what you come up with.”

Nalja, I created your inspiration board with all the flowertypes from Debra’s Wedding Arrangements. I included the hydrangeas as well as the pink roses. If you would like to recreate this arrangement, we would suggest using 5-6 open roses (brown and vanilla/ivory), 3-4 rose buds, and at least 1 bloom of each the cream white and light green hydrangaes. You could also replace the cream roses and use cream or white peonies instead and still achieve the round arrangement lookor add in the celadon orchids. Accent your reception hall with the centerpieces, and perhaps cream rose garlands and kissing balls. Check out items AF-SLK-FR2336-CR and AF-SLK-FGR120-CR/GR. I hope this helps!
