Kerry’s Pink & Navy Blue Wedding Inspiration Board

Kerry writes:
Hi! I am hoping you can help me with a wedding inspiration board. My outdoor wedding is late afternoon on October 13, 2012. Our colors are navy blue, pale pink, and metallic gold and silver. Attire will be formal.

Kerry, I have to say Navy Blue & Pink are one of my favorite wedding color combinations.  It can be preppy, classy & fun all in one!  I chose an inspiration photo from Trisha Dean featuring Delicate Pink Tulips, White Garden Hydrangea & Sprigs of  Lavender.  The Ranunculus, Peony & Rose Premade Bouquet would compliment your perfectly.  Wrap your bouquet with Navy Satin Ribbon and for some sparkly silver, accent with a Rhinestone Buckle. Happy Planning, Mindy

Laura’s White & Gold Inspiration Board

Laura writes:
HI! I am going to be marrying a Marine soon, he will be in his Dress Blues and the colors are Scarlet Red, Navy Blue, and Gold. I will be using whites as well :) I love Calla Lilies and ABSOLUTELY looooOOOOVE Oriental Lillies! I think they are just really gorgeous. I also like the simplicity of carnations. Bridesmaids will be in Scarlet Red with a Navy sash and gold accent jewelry… Thanks in advance :)

Laura, we are so happy for you and your Marine hubby-to-be. We thank him for his service to our country. Since you are using bold colors for your bridesmaid dresses,  I chose to feature our White Lily & Rose Premade Bouquet.  The Calla Lilies, Oriental Lilies (Available in Red), Carnations (Available in Red & Blue) and Greenery that is featured in the inspiration photo from First Comes Love, will create a lovely bridal bouquet.  To add a gold accent, wrap your bouquet with Gold Chiffon Ribbon. The Gold Cylinder Vase will be a great focal point of your reception centerpieces.  Happy Planning, Mindy

A Romantic Vintage Garden Wedding By The Ocean

Jodi writes:

I am getting married next August at an old cottage overlooking the Pacific Ocean in San Diego.  We are thinking of an antique-y, vintage-y, romantic garden feel, with white tablecloths, market lighting (string lights), and mahogany folding chairs on the two-tiered deck and lawn in front of the cottage.  We are having trouble figuring out colors and flowers.  We love mauve; antique gold, bronze, and opal; as well as sage green accents.

I love the mauve tones of calla lilies and hydrangeas, and I love the textures of ranunculus, snapdragons, roses, mums, and succulents.  I would love to see ideas and images for mauve, antique rose, opal/gold/light bronze, ivory, and sage green.  I’m at a loss as to which flowers would look well together, and convey the colors and feeling of our “romantic, vintage backyard party.”

Thank you for your help!

Best,
Jodi

Jodi, I love  your romantic colors and it sounds like your venue is going to be a stunning backdrop for your wedding. Large open flowers will go well with your vintage theme, so I chose lush open roses both as a single stem and in a hand-tied garden bouquet.  Going along with your outdoor garden setting, I chose a creamy colored hydrangea and peony with golden hues.  The sage and cream ranunculus bouquet can be used alone or you can choose to add additional flower stems to the bouquet.  The silvery dusty miller bush is a perfect compliment and to complete the look add shimmering golden ribbon.  Thank you so much for your request and many happy wishes for your special day! Mindy

Ginger’s Black, White & Silver Inspiration Board

Ginger Writes:
My colors are also black, silver, and white. I need help making my bouquet, or can I buy them already put together. Looking for fake flowers, that look and feel real.

Black, white & silver is a modern & dramatic choice for a color scheme.  Ginger wanted a Cinderella type bouquet.  Although we do not make bouquets to order, we were more than happy to help Ginger compose her bouquet.  For a beginner, it is easier to start with a premade bouquet in solid white roses.  To accompany the all white bouquet, we chose an elegant duo of orchids in Black &  White.  To finish, add some princess sparkles with our crystal  bouquet sprays, jeweled buckle & silver peacock feathers!

We featured our phalaenopsis orchid centerpiece design idea, fluffy flower petal kissing ball, and glittered branches to compliment her sophisticated wedding color scheme.

Lisa’s Silver, Sangria, and Green Wedding Inspiration Board

Lisa writes:
“Hi! I am planning a Spring 2011 wedding with the color Sangria from David’s Bridal as the main theme along with accents of green and silver. I need help for the flowers—thanks for any suggestions!!
Thank you so much!!
Lisa”

Lisa, I created your inspiration board with flowers in green and violet (which match the Sangria color beautifully)! I think the bouquets would look very pretty created with green spider dahlias, green cosmos, violet dahlias, and perhaps some sweetpea as accents. Complete the look and bring in the silver by wrapping a silver ribbon around the bouquet stems. I hope you like your board!

Dress from David’s Bridal. Items used to create Lisa’s Silver, Sangria, and Green Wedding Inspiration Board from Afloral.com (clockwise starting at top left):

Dark Orchid Sweetpea, Green Spider Dahlia, Violet Ranunculus, Green Triple Pearl Pins, Silver Satin Edge Ribbon, Violet Dahlia, Green Cosmos.
