Glam Sunflower Wedding Bouquet ~ Donna’s Inspiration Board

Donna writes: Bridesmaids dresses are teal chiffon. I want to incorporate sunflowers in with out getting rustic.

Pairing sunflowers with flower like roses, orchids, and delphiniums will help create more a of glam appearance instead of that rustic feel. Use orchids that are teal/turquoise instead of blue to tie in your wedding colors.

Bright and Bold Silk Wedding Flowers ~ Maureen’s Inspiration Board

Bouquet Inspiration Photo: Everything That Sparkles

{Maureen’s Request}
My wedding is in November 2013. I am trying to DIY flowers. Bouquets, boutineers & centerpieces. My theme is casual, easy going not formal but not rustic either. It is my second marriage but first wedding . My colors are brights. The picture below will be part of the center pieces. I was thinking of one on each side of floral center. The tables are 8′ round and will have a runner the same color as the vases/ lanterns. I am thinking each table will be a single color of lanterns & runner but the center floral will incorporate all the colors and some white. The second picture is a early idea I had but I want to dress it up some. I like a variety of flowers, shapes, dimensions etc. I would like to include belles of Ireland. The vases are now 7″ cylinders, not the beta vases shown. The bouquets , mine & maid of honor( only attendant) would be a little larger & more elaborate than the center pieces. Boutineers for groom & our 3 sons, corsage (wrist) for 2 mothers. I really hope you can help. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!!

Sarah’s Rustic Garden Sunflower Inpiration Board

Sarah writes:
The theme of my wedding is “rustic garden”. I want a comfy feeling. My main flower is going to be sunflowers. I want my bouquet to be just sunflowers but have no idea what to do for bridesmaids. They will be wearing deep purple (eggplant). I also want another accent color of mossy green. For the center pieces I want to do something with lanterns and candlelight.

Sarah, I love the rustic gardern idea! I have made your board with various sunflowers, from a single stem to a bush that you could use for your centerpieces. I think using all sunflowers for your bouquets is a great idea, for the bridesmaids – why not add in eggplant sweetpea and green gerberas – both flowers you can use in your centerpiece arrangements as well. Finish the bouquet’s looks by wrapping the stems with some very rustic appropriate natural raffia. Good luck with all your wedding planning, LeAnne!
