Gemma’s Rustic Woodland Wedding Bouquet Inspiration

{Gemma’s Request}
Hi! I love your blog! I’m a new bride to be and planning on doing my own flowers – but I don’t even know where to start!! I’m having an October wedding in a Scottish castle (in a marquee in the grounds) and will be having a rustic/Autumn/vintage feel to the day with a bit of a nod to the season. My girls will be in dark forest green and I’ll be in an ivory lace dress. I would like to use gorgeous deep vibrant autumn shades and a mixture of bloom sizes and foliage and for the flowers to have a slightly undone look but still look sophisticated. I hope I’m not asking too much!

Hello! I just starting planning my September wedding and flowers are my biggest concern! My ceremony will be outdoors and the reception indoors. The theme I am trying to nail is enchanted forest. Lots of greenery with candles and lanterns. Although one would normally think of deep rich colors for this theme, I actually prefer much softer hues for a more romantic feel. I’m thinking mostly creams and greenery with a touch of soft lilac (with grey undertones, rather than pink). I’m open to other small touches of color as long as they are not too deep or bright. I love the overgrown weed look. Especially with dainty, soft flowers like babies breath. Here are a couple of pictures that inspire me! Can’t wait to hear from you!

Peggi’s Woodland Wedding Flowers Inspiration Board

Hi,  We are having an outside simple wedding, keeping the theme woodsy. I like the dried lavender, and the mums but feel I need a little something more.  Needing ideas also for flowers for the reception table..I thought maybe placing our wedding cupcakes on a circle of wood that is finished but need more ideas.  My wedding outfit is a chiffon pant suit ( 3rd marriage for me) in royal blue.  My finance is wearing a med gray suit, my maid of honor I told her she can pick out her dress color as long as it matches the blue. Same with the best man.

This quaint woodland bouquet inspiration photo is from Twigs and Posies.   The Purple/Blue Anemones, Light Lavender Sweetpeas and Green Berries would make a lovely addition to the Lavender and Mums you already selected.   To finish your bouquet, wrap with Natural Raffia or a Sheer Chiffon Ribbon.  The Green Wedding Centerpieces include  Grapevine Balls, Votives, and Reclaimed Wood Stump that is filled with our lifelike Greenery.  All of our wonderful floral tips can be located in our Wedding Design Ideas or Videos.  The rustic cupcake centerpiece on the wooden round is from I do!.  It gives you an a nice example of how your tablescape will appear at your wedding.    Happy Planning, Mindy

Imane’s Purple and Blue Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

Hi, my wedding is in June 13th and I have so many ideas. I am not sure how to just keep it simple and not waste time since am doing my PhD.  I want roses, but not a pink theme color.  Also I love the blue and purple Daisies and lilies. I want the theme to be kind of forest or outdoor, however the hall is facing the waterfront, I sent you a couple of pictures of the hall. I would like some ideas. Thank you

Imane, Congratulations on your achievement!  I understand your need to keep your bouquet simple because of your busy schedule.  Your Purple and Blue color combination will make a gorgeous bouquet.  The garden bouquet  inspiration photo I found from Flower Arrangement Advisor features Purple and Lavender Roses, AnemonesCalla Lilies, and Greenery.  For a little color contrast, I added Purple and Pink Gerbera Daisies and finally Pink Roses.  The premade  Purple and Blue Anemone Bridal Bouquet is all finished except for the Floral Ribbon.  For your centerpieces, natural or flowering branches in tall glass cylinder vases would be perfect for your woodland theme.  Happy Planning, Mindy

Sarah’s Rustic Garden Sunflower Inpiration Board

Sarah writes:
The theme of my wedding is “rustic garden”. I want a comfy feeling. My main flower is going to be sunflowers. I want my bouquet to be just sunflowers but have no idea what to do for bridesmaids. They will be wearing deep purple (eggplant). I also want another accent color of mossy green. For the center pieces I want to do something with lanterns and candlelight.

Sarah, I love the rustic gardern idea! I have made your board with various sunflowers, from a single stem to a bush that you could use for your centerpieces. I think using all sunflowers for your bouquets is a great idea, for the bridesmaids – why not add in eggplant sweetpea and green gerberas – both flowers you can use in your centerpiece arrangements as well. Finish the bouquet’s looks by wrapping the stems with some very rustic appropriate natural raffia. Good luck with all your wedding planning, LeAnne!
