{Stacey’s Request}
We are planning an outdoor “classy country” wedding for April 2014. The event will take place in the evening with the reception in a restored cabin. We’ve already chosen to do mason jars, tin buckets and vases filled with river rocks/floating candles all decorated in lace, twine and burlap for our centerpieces. Tables will be white with burlap runners and our ceremony arbor will be made of “twigs.” I need help deciding flowers that will complement both an outside ceremony and an indoor reception while still having that country charm. I’d prefer colors white, coral , peach or green.

Hi, I am having some trouble planning my bouquets. My dresses are a burnt orange color and I going with a fall rustic theme. I want my flower to compliment the dresses. My favorite flowers are dahlias, mums, and roses. I was hoping to combine purple, burgundy, oranges, and beige with a touch of green. Can you help me out?

Sarah’s Rustic Garden Sunflower Inpiration Board

Sarah writes:
The theme of my wedding is “rustic garden”. I want a comfy feeling. My main flower is going to be sunflowers. I want my bouquet to be just sunflowers but have no idea what to do for bridesmaids. They will be wearing deep purple (eggplant). I also want another accent color of mossy green. For the center pieces I want to do something with lanterns and candlelight.

Sarah, I love the rustic gardern idea! I have made your board with various sunflowers, from a single stem to a bush that you could use for your centerpieces. I think using all sunflowers for your bouquets is a great idea, for the bridesmaids – why not add in eggplant sweetpea and green gerberas – both flowers you can use in your centerpiece arrangements as well. Finish the bouquet’s looks by wrapping the stems with some very rustic appropriate natural raffia. Good luck with all your wedding planning, LeAnne!

Regina’s Rustic Woodland Branch & Lily Bouquet

Regina writes:
Hi!!! I am getting married Sept.29th, 2012. It’s a rustic, outside wedding. My colors of Brown and Blue. I want to use twigs in my flowers mainly. Do you have any ideas for me? I know its different.

Regina, twigs/branches are one of the best accents for a Rustic/Woodland Wedding Theme. They are so versatile making them easy to add to bouquets and centerpieces.  I started with an inspiration photo from Weddingbee that features Branches/Twigs, Garden Lilies, and Greenery.  I also included from our Wedding Design Ideas & Build a Bouquet Lines, our Natural French Lavender Bouquet and Rustic Mum & Lavender Bouquet.  You can wrap your bouquet in a sheer White Chiffon Ribbon or Natural Raffia.  Happy Planning, Mindy
