How to Dress Up Your Premade Bouquet

If you’re a no fuss kinda girl, chances are you’re using premade bouquets on your wedding day. Some have the crafting eye and patience to be DIY brides, but others just want simple, hassle free wedding flowers.

Afloral.com offers a large selection of stunning premade wedding bouquets. We have boho bouquets, rustic bouquets, traditional bouquets, and that’s just to name a few. They are gorgeous and totally affordable. But, what if you fall in the middle? What if you love the ease of preparation the premade bouquets have to offer, but really would love to make it your own? Have no fear, the anticrafter is here to offer a simple solution.

I’ve come up with a list of five different ways to dress up your premade bouquet. This way, you don’t have to mess with bundling together individual stems, but you still can carry a unique wedding bouquet on your big day.

1. Bouquet Wrap  The majority of our premade bouquets do not come with bouquet wrap. Pick a ribbon that fits your theme and style, and wrap away. To wrap a premade bouquet, you usually need about one foot of ribbon,  and 2-3 corsage pins.

My favorite ribbons are the burlap ribbon in natural, ivory lacy ribbon, and raw muslin wrap in coral.

Decorative Ribbon

2. Brooches + Bouquet Bling If you’re a glamourous  bride, you might want to add a little bling to your bouquet. Some of our bling comes on a pick, and others are just pins. Either pin it to one of the silk stems, or wrap the pick up in the bouquet.

Butterfly Charm

3. Bundle together 2-3 premade bouquets for a fuller look.

4. Bundle together 2-3 different bouquets for a unique look.

5. Attach a charm or family heirloom to the bouquet wrap. Many brides like to use a family necklace or charm as their something old or something borrowed. Attach it to the ribbon you wrap your bouquet with, it’s the perfect accent. If you don’t have that, use one of our photo lockets or keys.

Ginger’s Black, White & Silver Inspiration Board

Ginger Writes:
My colors are also black, silver, and white. I need help making my bouquet, or can I buy them already put together. Looking for fake flowers, that look and feel real.

Black, white & silver is a modern & dramatic choice for a color scheme.  Ginger wanted a Cinderella type bouquet.  Although we do not make bouquets to order, we were more than happy to help Ginger compose her bouquet.  For a beginner, it is easier to start with a premade bouquet in solid white roses.  To accompany the all white bouquet, we chose an elegant duo of orchids in Black &  White.  To finish, add some princess sparkles with our crystal  bouquet sprays, jeweled buckle & silver peacock feathers!

We featured our phalaenopsis orchid centerpiece design idea, fluffy flower petal kissing ball, and glittered branches to compliment her sophisticated wedding color scheme.

Terri’s Burnt Orange & Plum Inspiration Board

Terri writes: “I am planning a December wedding.  My fiancé is in the National Guard and can’t decide if he wants to wear his dress blues or not, so I am leaning towards more of just black dress pants and dress shirts. Our colors are Lapis and Burnt Orange (for now LOL) Please create an inspiration board for me so I can decide if that is what I want to go with. Thanks Terri

I am not so sure on a theme. This will be the first marriage for the both of us. He is 25 years old and works in the automotive field full time and as I mentioned before he is in the national guard. He has one deployment to Iraq under his belt. He enjoys demolition derby and car restoration. I am 29 years old and I work full time as an LPN in clinical research. I enjoy horseback riding. We are both born and raised in the same small town. Our wedding will be nothing too fancy but we both want an actual ceremony. Any ideas or help you may be able to offer will be greatly appreciated.

We are having the reception inside only due to the time of year(Dec). Fav colors: mine- purple, his- blue or green. Flower- so far I have found that I like orange dahlias and purple calla lilies. So I guess I like traditional and/or bright …traditional because I do like the look of calla lilies, and bright with the dahlias. You are a God send. I am not a girly girl so I haven’t been planning my wedding in my head my entire life. … so it makes it more difficult.” Thanks Terri

Terri,  We are so happy for your hubby-to-be and thank him greatly for his service to our country.  I created your inspiration board with the bright colors (Orange & Purple) you selected.  You requested that I include Purple Calla Lilies and Orange Dahlias. These colors combined are both elegant and simple.  You could accent your bouquet with Plum Roses , Yellow Calla Lilies and Green Berries(to add a little of his favorite color).  To complete your bouquet, add bouquet accents & wrap with sheer satin ribbon.  I also included a premade bouquet that compliments your color scheme &  would be perfect for your bridesmaids to carry.
