April’s Guava, Champagne, and Blue Wedding Inspiration Board

April writes:
“Hello,
My name is April and I am getting married in October of 2010. I was looking through yoru site and loved the variety that you have to offer. We have picked a beach themed wedding. My dress is ivory and we are working with David’s Bridal for bridesmaid dresses. The colors of the dresses we are looking at are Guava and Champaign. We were thinking of a blue as an accent color but having difficulty tying the colors together. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
April”

April, I think the guava and champagne look striking paired with a bright royal blue! I created your inspiration board with these colors in various flower types. For the bouquets, why not make them using the champagne and ivory roses, salmon peonies, and accent with a blue flower. If you only want hints of blue, you could go with the rose buds — if you want more color, try using the blue iris or hydrangea. You could even accent your bouquet stems with a beautiful blue ribbon. I hope you like your board!

Rhonda’s Blue, Purple, and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board

Rhonda writes:
“Dear LeAnne,
My daughter is getting married in November 2010. She has chosen a peacock theme for her wedding and would like to use a teal, purple and navy color scheme. Her favorite flower is a gerbera daisy, however, not a must for her wedding! We would appreciate any suggestions and guidance you can give.
Thanks so much,
Rhonda”

Rhonda, I am such a huge fan of peacock feathers and all of their beautiful colors! I created your inspiration board using flowers in purple, blue, and turquoise — being sure to include some gerbera daisies! I think the bouquets would look stunning created with turquoise and purple gerbera daisies, and blue roses. If this is too simple, add in some turquoise ranunculus or purple roses. You can also add natural peacock feathers as well — really making the bouquet unique. Wrap a navy ribbon around the stems to finish off the bouquet and add a touch more blue to the mix. I hope this helps give you guys some ideas!

Julie’s Aubergine Purple, Green, and Burgundy Inspiration Board

Julie writes:
“Hi Leanne,
My name is Julie and I would love to know what flowers you think would work best for my wedding in July! My dress is white diamond and my bridesmaid dresses are aubergine (deep purple) with a lavender sash. My wedding colours are purple, green and burgundy. I love roses, calla lilies, hydrangeas and orchids and would love to incorporate these into my bouquets and centerpieces. Any advice you have would be wonderful!”

Julie, I created your inspiration board with flowers in deep purple, burgundy, and green. What beautiful deep toned colors! I think you wedding arrangements would look great made up of green and burgundy roses, purple rose buds, the green purple hydrangea, and burgundy orchids. For the centerpieces, you could simplify the arragements to using only hydrangeas. Either one of each color or a combination of the green purple hydrangea with some burgundy as well. I think hydrangeas are a gorgeous flower all on there own (and tal). 3-5 look great together in a tall vase! I hope this helps.

Danielle’s Burgundy and Sage Green Wedding Inspiration Board

Danielle writes:
“I love your inspiration boards, but can’t find any that are just exactly what I’m looking for. We’re wanting a dusty burgandy and sage green for the wedding colors. My favorite flowers are orchid and jasmine, but it’s not a catastrophy if those flowers won’t work well with the colors. I’ve also added a link to a cake I love, with sage-colored frosting for all but the beading and the drape, but instead of the white flowers, I want the dusty burgandy. I don’t even know where to start for planning a wedding, so I could use any advice you can give!
Danielle”

Danielle, that cake is beautiful! I created your inspiration board with flowers in burgundys and greens. I included a few different orchids, but unfortunately don’t have any jasmine flowers available at this time. A lot of times, they are only available in a white or cream color, but since they are such a small flower, it might be a beautiful accent to the bouquets. I think the bouquets would look great made up of burgundy and green orchids, burgundy roses (and/or hydrangea), and cream jasmine accents. Wrap a burgundy ribbon around the stems and accent that with green pins to finish off the look. I hope you like your board!

Tiffany’s Wine and Pearl Wedding Inspiration Board

Tiffany writes:
“Hello my name is Tiffany and I am getting married Oct 8 this year and have no idea what flowers would go with my bridesmaids dresses. Please help! Thanks so much.

My colors are wine and pearl but would love feedback if there is another color that goes well with wine. :)”

Tiffany, I created your inspiration board with flowers in a pink tone (that is very close to the wine dresses), cream, and pinks. I personally think a light pink mixed with cream/pearl and wine looks amazing. So soft and romantic! An idea for your bouquets would be to create them using pink peonies, raspberry ranunculus, lilac apple blossoms, and cream roses. Add the pearl hanging sprays for a gorgeous accent. I hope this helps!
