Have you checked out the Spring 2016 issue of mywedding Magazine? If you haven’t flipped through the pages of this wedding mag yet do yourself a favor and go pick one up. The cover states that this is the “Ultimate Bride’s Guide” and we would have to agree (and not just because our silk flowers are featured in the “Let Love Bloom” DIY). Here is a little sneak peak of one of the DIY’s featured…
BUDGET $100 | DIFFICULTY 2/3 | TIME 30 MINUTES
Step 1: Gather your supplies.
– Chipboard Letter
Put your initials up in flowers from your color palette or even stick to a sentimental note like the x’s and o’s shown here.
–Hot Glue Gun
Step 2: With your wire cutters, clip the flower head off of the stem.
Play around with the way you want to lay your flowers out before you start gluing them down. If you find an arrangement you like, snap a photo of it and then work from the photos when you begin placing your flowers more permanently.
Step 3: Use the hot glue gun to attach the flowers to the letters.
Step 4: Hold the flower in place for about 30 seconds to allow the glue to dry.
Step 5: Repeat Steps 3 & 4 with your next letter.
Step 6: Allow all the flowers to dry and prop up against a wall. Take a step back and look at the finished letters. Add additional flower heads to any open spots.
This DIY is perfect for a wedding but could also be used for a bridal shower, birthday or whimsical home décor idea. If you decide to make your own floral monograms we’d love to see it! Please share on Instagram and add #Afloral and #myweddingmag.
