Melanie’s Sangria, Pink, Green, and White Inspiration Board

Melanie writes:
“Hello,
I have seen so many of your inspiration boards, and never thought that I would need one created just for me. My wedding is in October 2010 and I am having trouble picking out flowers I think will go with Sangria and Silver wedding. My fiance is going to be wearing silver to match the accents in my dress which is white. Our wedding party is going to be wearing the Sangria color. Can you please help?? I thought I wanted to go with bright/light colors like pink, green, purple, and white, but after seeing some of these boards with darker colors I am not sure what to do. I cannot wait to see what you create.
Thank you so much,
Melanie”

Melanie, I actually very much love the idea of pairing brighter shades with the sangria. The whole color palette really “pops.” I created your inspiration board using brighter pinks, greens, white, and violet (which is like sangrai). I think the bouquets would look stunning made with a combination of these colors — perhaps with the violet dahlia, pink and white roses, and either green spider dahlia or calla lilies. Wrap a silver ribbon around the stems to tie in the silver color to finish off the bouquets. I hope this helps give you some inspiration!

Mallory’s Fuchsia, Pink, and Silver Wedding Inspiration Board

Mallory writes:
“Hello,
Can you help with my wedding flowers? Our colors are fuschia and pewter and the theme of our wedding is vintage Hollywood glam. I want the bridesmaids to carry bright fuschia or hot pink flowers and my bouquet to be a mix of softer pink, fuschia and ivory. My dress is simple, vintage and elegant and in diamond white. Not sure what colors the bridesmaids are wearing yet it’s between black and pewter.
Thanks
Mallory”

Mallory, I created your inspiration board with flowers in pink, fuchsia, and ivory. I think the bouquets and arrangements would look great made up with a combination of pink peonies and roses. All bright pink roses and peonies for the girls and lighter pinks and ivory in yours! Using the roses and peonies will be more inexpesive since you’ll need leses flowers to create these looks. Add in hydrangea to help as well (especially in the arrangements), since these have a nice, large flower head as well. You can finish your bouquets off by wrapping the stems in either a black or silver ribbon — or black ribbon with silver pins. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Green, Yellow, and Cream Wedding Inspiration Board

“Hi,
I am working on ideas for a friends upcoming spring wedding and wanted some ideas and help for bouquets and decorating ideas. The bridesmaids dresses are kelly green strapless and the flower girls are wearing pale yellow. The bride wants her bouquet to be a mixture of spring flowers. Any suggestions and ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.”

I created this inspiration board with a variety of spring flowers types in green, yellow, and green. The combination is beautiful! I think the bouquets would look great made up with yellow tulips and iris, white daisies or cream dogwood, and green bells of ireland. Add some onion grass greenery for and even more spring/wildflower look. To finish the bouquet you could wrap the stems with a yellow or cream ribbon and accent with colored pins. I hope this helps!

Melissa’s Victorian Lilac Purple Wedding Inspiration Board

Melissa writes:
“Hi,
I was so excited when I found your site! I have a wedding coming up soon! It will be Apr. I will only have one maid of honor, my daugher. We are not having a large wedding, but I want it to look nice. We’d like to have the wedding outside, but have a backup plan in case we have to move it inside. It’s so hard to tell what flower shades really look like on the computer. Can you please help?
Thanks so much,
Melissa”

Melissa, I created your inspiration board with flowers in lavender and cream that match the dresses. I also included a green and pink as well, just in case you wanted to add in another color. I think the bouquets would be beautiful created with roses, dahlia, day and calla lilies. Perhaps the lavender open roses and buds, periwinkle dahlia, pink calla lilies, and cream day lily accents. Stunning! You can also wrap a ribbon around the bouquet stems to complete the look. I hope this helps.

Delphine’s White, Fuchsia, and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board

Delphine writes:
“I’m having trouble figuring out flowers for the wedding. My colors are fuchsia, turquoise and either silver (my dress is a silver tone) or black and purple. For the reception I’m going with turquoise overlays and sashes with blue lighting and a fuchsia flower centerpiece (no idea what one).

With that being said, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I’m running out of time.
Thanks,
Delphine”

Delphine, I created your inspiration board using roses and orchids (like the photo you sent), but with colors in white and fuchsia — to match the dresses. I love the idea of creating the arrangements with white, fuchsia pink, turquoise, and black accents. The colors will really “pop” with black accents. I think the bouquets would look great made up of white roses, white rose buds, and the fuchsia or pink fuchsia orchids. You can wrap a black ribbon around the stems to bring in the black (or silver if y ou go with silver instead), and accent the ribbon with turquoise pearl headed pins. If you wanted to bring more turquoise into the bouquets, you could always add in some turquoise ranunculus. I hope this helps!

Fuchsia Rose Bud, Pink Cymbidium Orchid Bouquet, Turquoise Garbo Ribbon, Fuchsia Orchid Phalaenopsis, Pink Fuchsia Orchid, White Ecuador Open Rose, White Ecuador Rose Bud, Turquoise Ranunculus.

Maria’s Navy Blue, Cream, and Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board

Maria writes:
“Hello,

I need some help! Can you create a design board for me using these ideas?:

Flowers: Calla Lilies

Colors: Cream White, Navy Blue, maybe a touch of light yellow

I just need some help with design ideas! Thanks!
Maria”

Maria, I created your inspiration board with mostly calla lilies in cream, however I also including some roses, and sweetpea as well as blue and yellow colors. I think the bouquets would look beautiful made up of cream open calla lilies and calla buds, with blue and yellow roses. Or you could leave the blue out of the flowers all together and make the bouquets with the calla lilies and soft yellow roses or sweetpea and the wrap a navy blue ribbon around the bouquets stems. I hope this helps!

Yvonne’s Ivory, Chocolate Brown, and Eggplant Purple Inspiration Board

Yvonne writes:
“I would like some suggestions with what to order for my wedding on May 22, 2010. My dress is sandy in color and my attendants are wearing chocolate halter dresses. I would love to have gerbera daisies in eggplant; also really like either cream coloured calla lillies or orchids but don’t know where to go from there. Not sure if you would be able to incorporate the chocolate in with that but if you can’t that is alright.”

Yvonne, I created your inspiration board with flowers in brown, ivory, and eggplant purple — being sure to include the eggplant gerbera daisy. I think the bouquets would look great made up with roses, gerbera daisies, calla lilies, and orchid accents. You can make them using flowers in ivory and eggplant, or even all 3 — ivory, eggplant, and browmn (which I think looks very beautiful). Perhaps make them using beige roses, brown calla lilies, eggplant gerbera daisies, and eggplant orchid accents. I hope this helps!

Items used to create Yvonne’s Ivory, Chocolate Brown, and Eggplant Purple Wedding Inspiration Board from Afloral.com (clockwise starting at top left):

Brown Open Rose, Ivory Triple Pearl Pins, Brown Chiffon Ribbon, Vanilla Rose Bud Boutonnire (coming soon!), Eggplant Mini Phalaenopsis, Cream Phalaenopsis Orchid, Eggplant Gerbera Daisy, Brown Burgundy Calla Lily, Cream Calla Lily, Eggplant Calla Lily, Beige Open Rose.
