Kristi’s Ivory and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board

Kristi writes:
“Hi. My name is Kristi and I’m struggling to put the bouquets together. My dress is very simple, a-line, and ivory in color. My bridesmaid’s dresses are tea length, black, a-line, and very simple. We have decided to have teal as our accent color and aren’t sure where to go with the flowers. I’d like to have star-gazer lilies in my bouquet (I don’t necessarily need teal in my bouquet), but the bridesmaids’ bouquets should have some teal in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Kristi”

Kristi, I created your inspiration board with flowers in mainly turquoise (teal) and ivory, but added a few different colored stargazer lilies as well. I think the bouquets would be great made up with vanilla cream roses, cream hydrangea, and stargazer lilies (both the yellow and pink go great with the other wedding colors and will be a nice contrast in your bouquets). You can then add some turquoise to the bridesmaids bouquets by using the ranunculus or smaller cosmos. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Beige Gerbera Daisies, Turquoise Cosmos, Vanilla Cream Rose, Turquoise Gerbera Daisy, Cream White Hydrangea, Yellow Stargazer Lily, Rubrum Stargazer Lily, Turquoise Ranunculus.

Jennifer’s Real Wedding Bouquet Photo

Jennifer writes:
“Hi,
On December 30th you posted my inspiration board, I had also emailed you a picture of a bouquet i loved and you were kind enough to assist me in flowers from your site.

Here are a couple pictures of my completed bouquet. Thanks for all your help, i will be sure to recommend you to friends.

-Note: A recomendation to other girls, I think spending a few extra dollars on like 5 or 6 of the real touch flowers make it so worth it because they really do look so real.

Thanks
Jennifer”

Teresa’s Tiffany Blue, Pink, and Brown Wedding Inspiration Board

Teresa writes:
“Hi, my daughter is getting married in July 2010. It is an outdoor wedding with a casual reception that will be partially indoor/outdoor. The food is BBQ and she wants to create a casual atmosphere at the reception.

The dress is seafoam/tiffany blue in color. She would like to accent with chocolate brown, but she also likes pink. Is there any way to incorporate all of those colors into the wedding/reception?

Teresa”

Teresa, absolutely! I think the combination of pink, turquoise blue, and brown is so soft and beautiful! I created your board with these 3 colors and kept the flowers very simple. I think a nice bouquet of rose and gerbera daisies will be perfect for a casual yet beautiful wedding! Perhaps the brown roses with the pink and turquoise daisies. Or you could make them with brown roses, turquoise gerbera daisies, and pink peonies. I hope this helps!

Items used to create Teresa’s Tiffany Blue, Pink, and Brown Wedding Inspiration Board from Afloral.com (clockwise starting at top left):

Cream Pink Peony, Turquoise Jumbo Gerbera Daisy, Brown Gerbera Daisy, Brown Satin Ribbon, Assorted Pink Pins, Pink Gerbera Daisy, Brown Open Rose, Turquoise Gerbera Daisy.

Delphine’s White, Fuchsia, and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board

Delphine writes:
“I’m having trouble figuring out flowers for the wedding. My colors are fuchsia, turquoise and either silver (my dress is a silver tone) or black and purple. For the reception I’m going with turquoise overlays and sashes with blue lighting and a fuchsia flower centerpiece (no idea what one).

With that being said, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I’m running out of time.
Thanks,
Delphine”

Delphine, I created your inspiration board using roses and orchids (like the photo you sent), but with colors in white and fuchsia — to match the dresses. I love the idea of creating the arrangements with white, fuchsia pink, turquoise, and black accents. The colors will really “pop” with black accents. I think the bouquets would look great made up of white roses, white rose buds, and the fuchsia or pink fuchsia orchids. You can wrap a black ribbon around the stems to bring in the black (or silver if y ou go with silver instead), and accent the ribbon with turquoise pearl headed pins. If you wanted to bring more turquoise into the bouquets, you could always add in some turquoise ranunculus. I hope this helps!

Fuchsia Rose Bud, Pink Cymbidium Orchid Bouquet, Turquoise Garbo Ribbon, Fuchsia Orchid Phalaenopsis, Pink Fuchsia Orchid, White Ecuador Open Rose, White Ecuador Rose Bud, Turquoise Ranunculus.

Christie’s Clover Green, Coral/Orange, and Blue Inspiration Board

Christie writes:
“Hello! I really like your site! My wedding is this July in a chapel. I’m just starting my search for flowers and would appreciate any suggestions you have to offer.

I love natural tones, coral/orange, and blue/aqua are my favorites. I definitely want coral/orange to be involved in my flowers. I also want to be fairly simple but at the same time hope to make myself and my fiance stand out apart from the rest of our attendants with our flowers. I thought a gerbera boutonniere might be too big for the men, but I wasn’t sure. I also don’t know very much about flower arranging and wasn’t sure if mixing flowers is appropriate. If you have any ideas, I’d love to see your suggestions!

Thanks for your time!
Christie”

Christie, I love this color palette. They are natural colors, but that are birght and beautiful together! I created your inspiration board with flowers in oranges/peaches, greens, and a few different shades of blue. I picked a light blue and 2 different shades of turquoise. I really like the turquoise paired with the coral orange and green! I think the bouquets would look stunning made up of peach and orange roses, turquoise ranunculus, and either green hydrangea or bells or ireland accents. I hope you like your board!

Megan’s Sangria and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board

Megan writes:
“Hi!

I was looking at your inspiration boards and was hoping I could get one as well….the flowers seem to be the hardest part of planning the wedding for me thus far! Our wedding colors are sangria and oasis as defined by David’s Bridal. I don’t have any preference as far as types of flowers go but our centerpieces have burgundy rose-shaped candles and eucalyptus leaves. Let me know if you need anymore information. I am excited to see what you come up with!

Sincerely,
Megan”

Megan, I created your inspiration board with flowers in turquoise and a violet that matches the sangria color quite well. I also included some eucalyptus — it’s a beautiful greenery and will be a nice accent to your bouquets — especially since you are already using eucalyptus leaves for your centerpieces. For your bouquets, why not make them using eggplant and violet roses (since you have the rose shaped candles too), turquoise ranunculus, and eucalyptus sprays. If you want another flower type, you could also add in the violet gerbera daisies. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Dresses from David’s Bridal. Items used to create Megan’s Sangria and Turquoise Wedding Inspiration Board from Afloral.com (clockwise starting at top left):

Eggplant Rose (coming soon!), Violet Rose Bud, Turquoise Cosmos, Green Eucalyptus, Violet Gerbera Daisy, Turquoise Ranunculus.

Takilla, I created yoour inspiration board with flowers in turquoise, yellow, and white — and also included a turquoise julep cup container you may light for centerpieces. For the bouquets however, I think they would look beautiful made up of cream white roses, turquoise gerbera daisies, and yellow stargazer lilies — but any combination of the flowers on the board would work well.
