Alicia writes:
“Hi there,

I am getting married in August 2010. Our wedding colors are fuschia and kiwi/apple green. I am overwhelmed by the choices!! The bridesmaids will be in fuschia, dress pictured below. My dress is ivory with a very pale pearl pink accent. I love cymbidium orchids but beyond that I’m lost. Any direction you can give me would be very appreciated!!!

Thanks so much!
Alicia”

Alicia, I created your inspiration board with a few different flower types in green and fuchsia — being sure to inlcude some cymbidium orchids for you! For the bouquets, why not make them using the green cymbidium orchids, fuchsia phalaenopsis, fuchsia ranunculus, and either the green roses or ranunculus. The ranunculus will help give the bouquets that round look and the orchids will really set them off! Finish the bouquets by wrapping the stems with a green ribbon and accenting with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Latoya writes:
“Hello! I’m getting married in Jamaica in April 2010 and have no idea what kind of flowers I’d like for my bouquet. I know I want it to look lively and tropical but past that….I’m at a loss! LOL! The colors I invision for my palette are bright pink, green, yellow and orange.

Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated!

LaToya”

Latoya, I created your inspiration board with your 4 main colors — yellow, green, orange, and pink. I made sure to include many different types of tropical flowers. I think your bouquets would look stunning made up of the fuchsia orchid and green orchids, orange bird of paradise, orange dahlia, and yellow lilies or hibiscus. You can even add in the fuchsia ranunculus to help the bouquet keep a consistant shape. Finish it off by wrapping the bouquet stems with an orange ribbon and accenting with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Blue, Pink, and White Inspiration Board

In CategoryPink & Fantastic Fuchsias, Seaside Blues, Whites & Ivories
ByLeAnne

“I am having trouble choosing the color of dress for my daughter and hope by choosing my flowers first will help influence my decision. I love hydrangeas in pink and blue and white. I love white roses. The men will be wearing black tuxes. I am concerned because my dress is silver and the guys in black that there will not be enough color. I am thinking of pink and white and maybe blue for flowers but would love your opinion. Thank you for your help!”

I created this inspiration board using a mix of blues, pinks and whites. I think that you could create your bouquet with the blue, pink, and white hydrangeas, as well as mixing in the roses in other shades of the same colors. It would bring in the color that you are looking for! Also, why not finish the bouquet off with silver ribbon and black pins to tie in your dress and the tuexes — it would look stunning! I hope you like your board!

“Wow! What a great resource!! You are amazing!

I am getting married May 30th, 2010. My colors are, well I am trying to figure them out still. I love bright happy colors and tiffany blue/aqua, coral, green & red/watermelon are my favorites. My bridesmaids are wearing green chiffon dresses with a cream colored sash. We are getting married on the beach and I will be wearing a white gown. I am having such a hard time visualizing what flowers/colors willl go together. Any help, ideas that you have, I am definitely open to. I just want something simple yet elegant! Thank you so much for all of your time and help!! You really have a gift!!

Danielle :)

Danielle, thank you so much for the kind words! I just love creating these inspiration boards! For yours, I incorporated all the colors you mentioned you loved, as they actually work quite nicely together and will be nice and bright next to the wedding dresses. I would recommend making the bouquets with the peach roses, turquoise ranunculus, pink calla lilies, and accenting with the cream green tulips. If this is too many colors for you, you could make them using the cream green tulips, cream dahlia, turquoise ranunculus, and pink tulip accents. I actually love the pink and turquoise together — and they look great with the green! I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Kristina’s Watermelon Pink and Black Wedding Inspiration Board

Kristina writes:
“Hey LeAnne-

I am one of your biggest fans! Your inspiration boards are amazing and you always have really great ideas. I am standing in a wedding next June and the bride has asked me to help her with her flowers. The maid of honor will be in black and the rest of us will be in a watermelon color. She has already said that she really wants stargazer lilies and then white lilies for the rest of us. Can you suggest any other flowers that might work well with this color scheme? Thanks again and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Kristina
Orchard Park, NY”

Kristina, thank you for the wonderful compliments! :) I created this inspiration board with flowers in bright pink (which match the watermelon dress), lighter pink, and white. I am also a huge fan of stargazer lilies — they are just so beautiful! In my opinion, I think pairly stargazers with a round shaped flower looks nice. Since the lily has such a unique shape, the round flowers will help balance out the bouquets! You could always create the bouquets with the stargazer lilies (pink for the bride, white for the bridesmaids, the lighter pink and white roses, and the bright pink spider dahlias or ranunculus. To bring in the black, why not wrap a black ribbon around the bouquet stems and use the black lapel pin vases for the boutonnieres. I hope this helps gives you some ideas!

Stephanie’s Black, Fuchsia, and Pink Wedding Inspiration Board

Stephanie writes:
“Hello!
I’m planning for my July 10, 2010 wedding & I’m having a difficult time choosing a bouquet for me and my girls. My colors are black & white damask theme and hot pink. I’m completely clueless & I was hoping you could give me some kind of direction. I would like for my bouquet to be hot pink & my bridesmaids to be hot pink with other shades of pink, maybe?!? My bridesmaids will be wearing an Alfred Angelo dress style 7017S. Thanks for your time.
-Stephanie”

Stephanie, I created your inspiration board with flowers mostly in fuchsia with a few lighter pink accents. If you wanted to purchase pre-made bouquets, you could always selected the fuchsia pink rose and astrantia bouquet for yourself, and the confetti rose confetti for the bridesmaids — as it has lighter pink roses in it. If you wanted to create the bouquets, why not make them using the fuchsia ranunculus, gerbera daisies, and hydrangea. Use the fuchsia gerbs in your bouquet, and the lighter pink in the bridemaids bouquets. Finish all the bouquets with a black satin ribbon and pink pins to give them that extra something. I hope this helps!
