“I am planning a church wedding for April 10, 2010. My colors are green (fern) and blue (pastel), with silver as an accent color. I love hydrangeas and want to incorporate them throughout my wedding/reception. What flowers can I use to complement the green and/or blue hydrangeas?
Thanks!”

Edie, I created your board using hydrangeas in a few different shades of blue and green as well as a few other flower types. I think your bouquets would look great made up with either the green roses or dahlies, turquoise gerbera daisies, and both a blue and green hydrangea. To finish it off why not wrap a blue ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent that with green pins. I hope you like your inspiration board!

Alicia’s Fuchsia and Kiwi Green Wedding Inspiration Board

Alicia writes:
“Hi there,

I am getting married in August 2010. Our wedding colors are fuschia and kiwi/apple green. I am overwhelmed by the choices!! The bridesmaids will be in fuschia, dress pictured below. My dress is ivory with a very pale pearl pink accent. I love cymbidium orchids but beyond that I’m lost. Any direction you can give me would be very appreciated!!!

Thanks so much!
Alicia”

Alicia, I created your inspiration board with a few different flower types in green and fuchsia — being sure to inlcude some cymbidium orchids for you! For the bouquets, why not make them using the green cymbidium orchids, fuchsia phalaenopsis, fuchsia ranunculus, and either the green roses or ranunculus. The ranunculus will help give the bouquets that round look and the orchids will really set them off! Finish the bouquets by wrapping the stems with a green ribbon and accenting with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Latoya writes:
“Hello! I’m getting married in Jamaica in April 2010 and have no idea what kind of flowers I’d like for my bouquet. I know I want it to look lively and tropical but past that….I’m at a loss! LOL! The colors I invision for my palette are bright pink, green, yellow and orange.

Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated!

LaToya”

Latoya, I created your inspiration board with your 4 main colors — yellow, green, orange, and pink. I made sure to include many different types of tropical flowers. I think your bouquets would look stunning made up of the fuchsia orchid and green orchids, orange bird of paradise, orange dahlia, and yellow lilies or hibiscus. You can even add in the fuchsia ranunculus to help the bouquet keep a consistant shape. Finish it off by wrapping the bouquet stems with an orange ribbon and accenting with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Melissa’s Olive Green and White Wedding Inspiration Board

In CategoryFall Scenes, Going Green, Whites & Ivories
ByLeAnne

Melissa writes:
“Hi LeAnne!

My wedding is going to be mid October 2010. The color we’ve chosen is olive. I haven’t picked out the dresses yet, I just have an idea. I know I want white daisies but not gerbera daisies. We don’t want to use roses. I’ve included a picture that I found which is the closest to what I like but I’m just not sure yet if it’s the “perfect” one for me. First, I can’t figure out what else is in the bouquet besides daisies, and I’m not sure if I want more color in it to compliment fall. Any ideas would be appreciative!

Thanks, Melissa”

Melissa, I created your inspiration board with white daisies and a few green flower accents. I know you mentioned that you didn’t want gerbera daisies, so I put a farmhouse daisy bush on your board. I also included a spider gerbera daisy — although it is a gerbera, it is very different from the regular gerbs and I though it might work for you. As for accent flowers — why not use a small green flower that matched the dresses and also include another flower type that is eggplant purple or orange in color? This will help bring in the fall look as well as make the bouquets that out a bit more. Either a mini orchid or mini poppy would work nicely. I hope this helps!

“Hi there!

I really love your site and your products are AWESOME! I am not a flower person and need some serious help with bouquets and a few centerpieces. I am getting married on Feb 6, 2010 in church. Our wedding colors are light green (honeydew) and purple (grape) with silver accents and our theme is “Grecian Romance” I like any kind of flowers especially roses. Please help……

Thanks so much for your help.
Sincerely,
Joyce”

Joyce, what beautiful wedding colors — I especially love the light honeydew green! I created your inspiration board with flowers in different greens, purple, and also added a hint of cream. I think the bouquets would look great made up of green roses, light green gerbera daisies, and either the violet dahlia or gerbera daisy. You could even add in some of the cream green orchids to bring another color into the mix. Finish off the bouquets with a silver ribbon wrapped around the stems. I hope this helps!

Rita’s Shamrock Green and Violet Wedding Inspiration Board

Rita’s writes:
“LeAnne;
I originally had you create an inspiration board for my clover and watermelon wedding, I have unfortunately changed my colors to shamrock and violet seen in the bridesmaid dresses attached, could you please create a new board for me using these colors. My bridesmaids will be in shamrock. Thanks so much for your help :o )
Rita”

Rita, no problem! I created your new inspiration board with flowers in greens and purples. We have a great pre-made ranunculus bouquet that would work great for you! Otherwise, if you wanted to create your own, why not make them using the green roses, green bells of ireland, either the purple zinnia or gerbera daisies, and accent with the purple hydrangea. Then you could wrap the bouquet stems with purple ribbon and accent that with green pins. I hope you like your board!

Danielle’s Green, Watermelon, Aqua, & Peach Inspiration Board

Danielle writes:
“Wow! What a great resource!! You are amazing!

I am getting married May 30th, 2010. My colors are, well I am trying to figure them out still. I love bright happy colors and tiffany blue/aqua, coral, green & red/watermelon are my favorites. My bridesmaids are wearing green chiffon dresses with a cream colored sash. We are getting married on the beach and I will be wearing a white gown. I am having such a hard time visualizing what flowers/colors willl go together. Any help, ideas that you have, I am definitely open to. I just want something simple yet elegant! Thank you so much for all of your time and help!! You really have a gift!!

Danielle :)

Danielle, thank you so much for the kind words! I just love creating these inspiration boards! For yours, I incorporated all the colors you mentioned you loved, as they actually work quite nicely together and will be nice and bright next to the wedding dresses. I would recommend making the bouquets with the peach roses, turquoise ranunculus, pink calla lilies, and accenting with the cream green tulips. If this is too many colors for you, you could make them using the cream green tulips, cream dahlia, turquoise ranunculus, and pink tulip accents. I actually love the pink and turquoise together — and they look great with the green! I hope this helps give you some ideas!
