Lorraine’s Mink Brown, White, and Blue Wedding Inspiration Board
Lorraine writes:
“Hello
I’m hoping you can help, I am getting married in April & need some flowers to go with my mink coloured Bridesmaid dresses and my plain white wedding dress. The bridesmaids dresses are off a satin material & almost a toffee colour. Please help (I do like the colour blue – would be great if you could compact all together).
Many Thanks
Lorraine
)”
Lorraine, I created your inspiration board with flowers in white, blue, and various shades of brown. The mink dress is definitely a toffee color, with an almost gray tone. I think the bouquets would look great made with the tan peonies (to match the dresses but not be overwhelmingly brown), blue hydrangea, and white lilies. This way you get all 3 colors in the mix — and it’ll look stunning! You could even add the pussy willow branches for a beautiful and unique accent. I hope you like your board!
Dress from Justin Alexander. Items used to create Lorraine’s Mink Brown, White, and Blue Wedding Inspiration Board from Afloral.com (clockwise starting at top left):
Blue Hydrangea, Blue Cosmos Spray, Gray Pussy Willow Branch, Brown Ranunculus, Antique Tan Peony, White Stargazer Lily.

Ann’s Brown, Ivory, and Green Wedding Inspiration Board
Ann writes:
“We would like your help suggesting ideas for a bride’s bouquet, wrist corsages for my attendants and boutonnieres for the groomsmen. We are keeping to a limited budget, but don’t want to look cheap. The attendants and groomsmen are our siblings and we are asking them to mingle with the guests to insure everyone is having a good time so their corsages and boutonnieres will be the only distinction that they are part of the wedding party. We will have six young ladies for flower girls and would like to have hair clips for them.
My colors are chocolate brown, ivory or cream and a sage green. Your website looks great, your phone staff have been most helpful and we look forward to learning your ideas and creating a wonderful look while staying in budget.”
Ann, I created your inspiration board with flowers in brown, ivory, and green. I think adding some peacock feathers would be a beautiful and inexpensive way to jazz up the arrangements. I included a photo of a boutonniere featuring peacock feathers as well as a hair piece — so pretty and will look great in the flower girl’s hair! For the bouquet, why not create it with either brown roses or ranunculus, vanilla cream roses, and green cymbidium orchids. For the corsages, you could make them like the boutonniere shown and simply and an extra flower (the cream rose perhaps). I hope this helps!

Elaine’s Peacock Feather Flower Wedding Inspiration Board
Elaine writes:
“My daughter is getting married in September 2010. She has chosen to use the peacock feather as the main decorative them. Her colors will derive from the peacock feather i.e. green, blue, cognac. She also wants to include orchids. Which colors will make the best combination? I love the suggestions you have provided others. Thanks.
Elaine”
Elaine, I think peacock feathers are gorgeous — not just the feathers themselves, but the colors! I created your inspiration boad with peacock feather inspired colors, as you suggested. I think the bouquets would look wonderful made up of the amber peonies, turquoise ranunculus, green roses (or peonies), and blue hydrangea. Use peacock feathers as beautiful accents to the bouquets. Finish them off with a blue ribbon wrapped around the bouquet stems — you can even accent this with green pearl headed pins. I hope this helps!

Sarah writes:
“I am trying to decide between a red (dark red) and black wedding or a mossy oak camoflauge and black wedding colors. I feel that if I find the right flowers that I will be able to decide the rest. I am interested in roses or lilies. Thank you so much!!!
Sarah, I created your board using two of the dresses you sent. I created one side with the red and black, while the other side focused on “camoflauge” colors. I think either is going to look striking. I hope this helps you to make a decision!

Heather’s Brown and Cornflower Blue Wedding Inspiration Board
Heather writes:
“I would appreciate an inspiration board! I am getting married in July and am planning a large wedding with my maid of honor and then 4 bridesmaids. My colors are Cornflower and brown. Daisies or gerbera daisies are my favorite flower. Thanks for your help.
Heather”
Heather, I created your inspiration board with flowers in brown and blue as well as white and green accents, just in case you wanted to add in another flower. I love the green next to the blue flowers, so I think the bouquets would look nice made up with green (or white) and brown gerbera daisies and accented with the blue hydrangea. Then you could wrap a brown ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent that with blue or white pins. I hope this helps!

Elizabeth’s Green and Ivory Wedding Inspiration Board
Elizabeth writes:
“My name is Elizabeth and my wedding is going to be May 8, 2010. My colors are green and white/ivory. My finace’s family is irish and that’s why I liked green being our colors.
I’m having a hard time picking what my bridesmaid’s flowers or my centerpieces for the reception should be. I was thinking white/ivory mainly and then a hint of greenery. I want it to look fresh and springy. I’m a simple girl and don’t like anything big or too fancy. Can you help please?!
Thanks!
Elizabeth”
Elizabeth, I created your inspiration board with all the flowers in green and ivory/cream. I love the soft, subtle look of these colors together! I think keeping the bouquets simple and classic is a wonderful idea. Perhaps you could create your wedding arrangements using vanilla and green roses with green ranunculus accents! Or, if you wanted it more creamy, use the cream gerbera in place of the ranunculus. You could also add some eucalyptus greenery to add more color as well as a give the bouquets a fresh look. I hope this helps give you some ideas!
