Vicki’s Claret Red and Brown Wedding Inspiration Board

Vicki writes:
“My daughter is getting married December 19, 2009. We keep going back over her flower selections and I think she’s just done making decisions, so I’m trying to come up with suggestions.

She likes simple, classy designs, her dress is champagne, the bridesmaid dresses are claret and her accent color is chocolate brown. We are using the kind of ice theme with crystal tree centerpieces and candles. She loves calla lilies which we used in the pew markers and also hydrangeas in deep red and brown shades. Need ideas on the bouquets and what other flowers we can use.

Thank You
Vicki”

Vicki, I created your inspiration board with flowers in reds, brown, and even a hint of ivory to match the champagne dress. I made sure to include a deep red hydrangea and a few different colored calla lilies. I also included a few other flower types that will match the callas and hydrangeas well — a ranunculus and a burgundy peony (which is one of my favorites). Why not make the bouquets with the burgundy peonies, burgundy hydrangea, brown ranunculus, and the red and cream calla lilies. To finish it off you can add a burgundy ribbon and ivory pins. I hope this helps!

Erin’s Cornflower Blue, Emerald Green, and Brown Inspiration Board

Erin writes:
“Hi LeAnne!

I was referred to your website by a coworker of mine, and I absolutely love it!! There is so much inspiration here, and was hoping you could come up with some suggestions. I’m having a rustic country themed wedding June 2010, and the colors are cornflower blue, canary yellow, emerald green, with accents of brown. I would like to incorporate sunflowers and gerberas with raffia and wheat. I’m also looking to add some pop to the flowers by maybe including fuchsia. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!

Erin”

Erin, I created your inspiration board with flowers in green, brown, blue, yellow, and fuchsia. I tried to select flowers that were a bit more rustic feeling. In my opinion, the fuchsia would make the bouquets “pop,” but I think the bouquets would look better with just the main colors of your wedding. The yellow flowers will add that bright splash of color. For the bouquets, why not create them using the blue and green cosmos, brown spider gerbera daisy, and yellow sunflowers. Then you could tie natural raffia around the stems to complete the look. I hope this helps!

Kate’s Teal Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

Kate writes:
“Hi!
I’m getting married in June of 2010. My bridedsmaids dresses are teal. I’m having a hard time finding silk flowers to match their dresses and clueless about what color(s) I should have for my bouquet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Kate”

Kate, I created your inspiration board with flowers in teal/turquoise, as well as fuchsia, yellow, white, and brown. Any combination of these colors will look great against the teal dresses — using the yellow or fuchsia will really make the flowers “pop.” I think the bouquets would look great made up with the turquoise and brown ranunculus, white roses, and either the yellow roses or fuchsia gerbera daisies. I hope you like your board!

Lashonda’s Fall Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

Lashonda writes:
“I love the ideas on your site! Please help me with some ideas for a fall wedding using “fall colors” (i.e. orange, red, yellow). I am considering primarily using shades of orange and tan for the wedding party and incorporating the other colors through flowers/decorations. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!’

Lashonda, I created your inspiration board using different flower types in fall colors, being sure to include shades of brown and orange. I think the wedding bouquets would look nice if you created them using the amber peonies, mustard gerbera daisies, orange roses, and touches of burgundy hydrangea. You could even accent with a beautiful fall rattail and grass bush for greenery. To finish the bouquet, simply wrap a brown ribbon around the flower stems. I hope this helps give you some inspiration.

“Hi. I am getting married in August of 2010. I plan to wear a simple sundress type style with flip-flops. Our colors are chocolate brown and blue. I love daisy’s and carnations but want to explore other options as well. Any assistance would be a big help and greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Margaret”

Margaret, I created your board with a mixture of browns and blue along with a variety of flowers. I think it would look amazing to create your bouquet with the brown gerbera daisy, brown ranunculus, blue hydrangea, and blue rose bud. You could use the brown ribbon and blue pins to give the bouquet a finished look. I hope this helps!

Amanda’s Ivory, Misty Blue, and Mink Brown Inspiration Board

Amanda writes:
“Dear Afloral.com and LeAnne!

I just stumbled upon your blog and saw that you do bridal boards! Wow, that is so amazing! I was hoping you might be able to help me out. I will be getting married at a bed and breakfast overlooking a lake in Mexico towards the end of September 2010. We will have a chuppah and I would love to drape flowering vines/flowers along the waist-high wrought iron fence that overlooks the lake behind us as well as the chuppah.

Thanks again, and I can’t wait to see what your creativity makes for me!
Sincerely,
Amanda”

Amanda, I created your inspiration board with flowers in mostly ivory with touches of light blue and brown. I think your wedding arrangements would look fantastic created with vanilla and brown roses, cream hydrangea, and either the blue bluebonnet or hydrangea as accents. To finish off the bouquets I would recommend wrapping a soft blue ribbon around the stems, perhaps leaving some ribbon tails. You could even accent that with ivory pearl pins. I hope this helps give you some ideas.

Ebony’s Burnt Orange, Brown, and Ivory Inspiration Board

Ebony writes:
“Hi, LeAnne.
I’m getting married Aug, 29th 2010. Our colors are burnt orange, brown, gold and ivory. I’m in need of help with my DIY flower arrangements. My bridesmaids with be wearing burnt orange dress and groomsmen will be wearing brown tuxes. The skirt of my wedding dress is made of ivory feathers, so I would like to incorporate feathers in my arrangements.”

Ebony, I created your inspiration board with flowers mostly in orange and ivory, but also added hints of brown. I also made sure to include some gold accents. For the bouquets, why not created them using the brown and orange callas, the vanilla roses, and the orange and cream gold orchids. You said you wanted to add feathers — which would look fantastic. I have put pheasant feathers on your board (which would help bring out the brown), or you could go with ivory ostrich feathers. To finish off the bouquets, why not wrap the stems with a gold ribbon. I hope this helps!
