Amanda’s Ivory, Misty Blue, and Mink Brown Inspiration Board
Amanda writes:
“Dear Afloral.com and LeAnne!
I just stumbled upon your blog and saw that you do bridal boards! Wow, that is so amazing! I was hoping you might be able to help me out. I will be getting married at a bed and breakfast overlooking a lake in Mexico towards the end of September 2010. We will have a chuppah and I would love to drape flowering vines/flowers along the waist-high wrought iron fence that overlooks the lake behind us as well as the chuppah.
Thanks again, and I can’t wait to see what your creativity makes for me!
Sincerely,
Amanda”
Amanda, I created your inspiration board with flowers in mostly ivory with touches of light blue and brown. I think your wedding arrangements would look fantastic created with vanilla and brown roses, cream hydrangea, and either the blue bluebonnet or hydrangea as accents. To finish off the bouquets I would recommend wrapping a soft blue ribbon around the stems, perhaps leaving some ribbon tails. You could even accent that with ivory pearl pins. I hope this helps give you some ideas.

Elaine’s Ivory, Green, and Pink Wedding Inspiration Board
Elaine writes:
“Hi LeAnne!
I’m so glad I stumbled across your website. Great ideas! My main colors are green/ivory with a touch of pink. I am open to other suggestions, but I love the phalaenopsis orchids in fushcia and green. My vision is to have my bouquet with green/ivory with a touch of fuchsia, while the girl’s bouquets are just green/ivory. Your ideas would be appreciated. I just want something simple/elegant.
Thank you for your time!
Elaine”
Elaine, I created your inspiration board with different flower types in ivory, green, and pink — being sure to include the green orchid that you like! I think the bouquets would look great made up with the green/cerise and cream orchids, along with the vanilla and green roses. For your bouquet, to bring in the pink, why not simply add in fuchsia orchids? To tie them all together you can wrap a green ribbon around the stems and accent with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Miranda’s Baby Blue and Lavender Wedding Inspiration Board
Miranda writes:
“Hi, my name is Miranda. My colors are baby blue and lavender. I was thinking having a ball of the Hydrangeas and adding couple calla lilies and roses. The hydrangeas would be blue and lavender, the calla lilies and roses would be white. If you have and other ideas please let me know. My wedding is July 3 2010 if that helps at all. Thank you”
Miranda, I created your inspiration board with hydrangea flowers in lavender and blue, as well as a white rose and calla lily — since this is what you mentioned you would like to make your wedding arrangements out of. I think this is a very beauitful and romantic idea! I think created the kissing balls is a fantastic idea! For the bouquets, I would do the exact same thing but perhaps add lavender rose buds and white hanging wisteria to them as well. This will give the bouquets an even more whimsical look! I hope you like your board.

Venessa’s Blue and Red Wedding Inspiration Board
Venessa writes:
“Happy Autumn.
My name is Venessa and my fiance and I are getting married in Maryland. Our wedding is in late July and our color scheme is marine and red. We chose them because blue is my favorite color and red is his, but I’m hoping for a scheme that won’t evoke the 4th of July when it all comes together! My dress is champagne colored with ivory lace, the Bridesmaids will be in the marine blue, and I’m hoping for accents to be in red.
Since the wedding is outdoors, I wanted to try and get more creative than just going with ivory or red roses. To be honest, I *love* the look of wildflower bouquets – is it possible to achieve that in this color scheme?
Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us!
Cheers,
Venessa”
Venessa, I created your inspiration board with flowers in blue, cream/ivory, and red. Since you don’t want the color scheme to look like the 4th of July, I would suggest using the red to a minimum. Also, using a darker tone such as burgundy, would also help keep away from the 4th of July theme. I selected flowers for your board that are a bit more “natural” and as wildflower looking I could find! For the bouquets, why not create them using blue cornflower and anemone, cream snowball, and accenting with red rosehip and hydrangea. You could even add some green eucalyptus to make the bouqeut even more on the wildflower side. I hope this helps!
