Lea writes:
“Hi! I am getting married on March 27th 2010, at the Minnesota Zoo in the indoor tropical rain forest area of the zoo, followed by a reception in the aquarium! My colors are earthy tones, blue (more teal/tiffany blue color) brown, ivory and I would like to have splashes of green. My Dress is from Davids bridal, it reminds me of something Jackie Kennedy would have worn. Designer Oleg Cassini. My bridesmaid dresses are my Mackenzie Michaels, They are a chocolate brown dress with a blue sash that ties in back the falls to the floor. Thank you so much for your help!! I really look forward to seeing what you have in mind for me!!!
Lea”
Lea, I love it — a wedding at the Minnesoata zoo! How unique and wonderful — I bet it will be gorgeous!!! For your inspiration board, I used various flower types in blues, green, white, and brown. For the bouquets, why not create them using the white gardenia, brown and turquoise ranunculus, and accent with the green spider gerbera daisies. Of course any combination of the flowers on your board will look great! Then, you could wrap a brown ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with green pins. I hope you like your board!

Kayla writes:
“Hello, my name is Kayla and I am planning a July 31st, 2010 wedding and our colors are blue and silver with a touch of horseshoes. We are also hoping to have an outside ceromony, so I am not sure weather fake flowers wil work but I am
leanning to them because of cost and time.
Thank you for you help.
Kayla”
Kayla, I created your inspiration board with different flower types in various shades of blue. I also added a few white ones, just in case you wanted to add a second color to the bouquets. I also included silver accent pieces. For the bouquets, why not created them using the light blue and royal roses, blue anemone, and accent with silver ting and white stephanotis. Then, you could wrap a silver ribbon around the bouquet stems to bring more silver into the arrangements. I hope this helps!

Joanna’s Purple and Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board
Joanna writes:
“Hello my name’s Joanna,
I’ve just started to plan my wedding and I’ve fallen in love with a purple and yellow theme. I want it to center around sunflowers, but I’m not sure how to balance this with the purple idea as I want it to look very sophisticated, but with a modern twist.
Can you help?
Thank you so much!
Joanna”
Joanna, I love the combination of purple and yellow — the bright and contrasting colors are so eye-catching! I created your board using yellow sunflowers as well as a few other yellow flowers, and added some purple flowers that will compliment them. I think the bouquets would look great mad up of yellow sunflowers, yellow roses, and accenting with either purple iris or purple snapdragons — both of which are unique and beautiful flowers! Then you could wrap a yellow ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with purple pins. I hope you like your inspiration board!

Kaila’s Red and White Tropical Wedding Inspiration Board
Kaila writes:
“Heya,
My husband and I have been married a few months, but because of the restrictions we have in the Military, November is the first time any of our friends or families will be able to see us. We’re putting together a reception and want to incorporate both our personal styles, as well as our new tropical home (we’re stationed in Hawaii)! We want an elegant way to blend the traditional red and white roses with some tropical flowers to bring those two elements of our life together for our reception. I’d love to see any ideas you have!
Thank you!

Amanda’s Sugar Plum and Ivory Wedding Inspiration Board
Amanda writes:
“Hi LeAnne! I am not a girl who is big on flowers, so I have no idea where to begin and am open to any and all suggestions! My wedding is in April 2010 on a yacht in Miami at sunset. My bridesmaid dresses are Alfred Angelo style #7002 in Sugar Plum. My dress is ivory. Please help this floral novice! Thanks!
Amanda”
Amanda, I created your inspiration board with a few flower types in ivory, soft pink, and an antique lavender. Since your wedding is April of next year, I included some of our spring flowers that we will be stocking in a few months. For the bouquets, why not create the bridesmaids with cream/ivory and the soft pink. Then, you can add the antique lavender colored flowers to your bouquet to make them a bit bolder and different. I love the combination of the vanilla roses, the lavender peonies, and the blush pink magnolia — they are so romantic looking! I hope this helps!

Dress from Alfred Angelo.
