“Hi there! I’m getting married on March 13, 2010, and I’m having trouble deciding on what flowers to use for my bouquet, the boutonnieres, and my girls’ bouquets. I’m kind of thinking of having them carry lanterns, but I’m not entirely sure. My colors are light blue and soft yellow, with a retro Disneyland/Alice in Wonderland theme. I especially love yellow roses and daisies, but I don’t know what will go with them! I’d love to see what ideas you might have.

Thank you so much!
Caitlin”

Caitlin, Alice in Wonderland — I love it!!!! I created your inspiration board in blue, white, and yellow, making sure to include yellow roses. Since your favorite flowers are daisies and roses, why not create your bouquet with yellow roses and rose buds, white daisies (or even yellow) and add blue hydrangea. Then you could wrap a yellow ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent that with blue pins! I love the idea of the bridesmaids carrying lanterns and the bride with the flowers. I would love to see pictures!

Keisha writes:
“Hi. My name is Keisha.
My wedding colors are sunshine yellow, persimmon orange, and champange. The dresses are Alfred Angelo style 6540. What type of flowers should I use.
Thanks, Keisha”

Keisha, I created your board using a few different flower types in oranges, yellow, and ivory/champagne. I just love the color combination! Perhaps you could create your bouquets with yellow and ivory roses and accent with the orange spider dahlias. Then, you could wrap a yellow ribbon around the stems and accent that with ivory pins. I hope this helps!

Lindsey writes:
“Hi!

My name is Lindsey. I am having my wedding in May. My color theme is pink and purple with possibly some turquoise as well. I like lilies, orchids, and daisies. Please give me some combination ideas with these colors.

Thanks, Lindsey”

Lindsey, I created your inspiration board with flowers in purple, turquoise, light pink, and even fucshia — which in my opnion looks fantastic next to purple! I think your bouquets would look great with the purple and turquoise gerbera daisies, fuchsia orchids, and accented with purple lilies. Then you could wrap the bouquet stems with a purple ribobn and accent that with pink pins. I hope you like your board!

Nicole writes:
“Hi my name is Nicole and I am getting married in July. I want purples, pinks, and a little bit of yellows. I know I want lillies for sure and snapdragons. I want my centerpieces and bouquets to have flowers. Thanks!”

Nicole, I created your inspiration board with flowers in pink, purple, and yellow. I made sure to include lilies and snapdragons, as well as a few other flower types that will match well. Perhaps for the bouquets, you could use pink peony, the 2 purple snapdragons, and accent with yellow lilies. Then, you could wrap a lavender/purple ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with pink pins. I hope this helps!

D. Rosier’s Latte, Pink, and Green Wedding Inspiration Board

ByLeAnne

D. Rosier writes:
“My daughter’s wedding is planned for August of 2010 outdoors at our home in Minnesota. Her dress is champagne, brides maids dresses are latte. The groomsmen will also have tux in brown and latte vests and ties. We are planning on using hydrangea’s from a bush we have for center pieces. We would like to incorporate some silk roses and peonies preferably in a varigated pink and cream colors for added color. While still using some brown and green, is this too much? Any ideas?

Your website is full of help and insiteful ideas, we can’t help returning to it time after time. Thank you so much!
D. Rosier”

Thank you for the email! I kept your inspiration board fairly simply with roses, peonies, and ranunculus. I think the combination of light pink, green, ivory/champagne, and brown will look fantastic! Maybe create the bouquets with vanilla rose, chocolate ranunculus, pink and green peonies, and accent with the hydrangea flowers. To complete the bouquets you could wrap a brown or pink ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with either green or ivory pins. I hope this helps!

Ximena writes:
“Hello LeAnne:

My name is Ximena and I am having my wedding on 10/17/09. I would like some ideas to be used for my bouquet and centerpieces, I love calla lillies so definetely I want to include them in the decorations.
Thanks for your attention and help.
Ximena.”

Ximena, I created your inspiration board using calla lilies in several colors — all which will look great together — and added a few other flower types as well. You could create your bouquet using just callas in a few different colors, or create them using calla lilies and a second flower type — perhaps the ranunculus. I also included a few calla lily centerpiece ideas for you to check out. I hope you like it!

“Hello,
I am planning an outdoor fall wedding for next year between sept and nov. I live in CA so the weather is really nice that time of year. I will be wearing an ivory gown and my bridesmaids will be wearing a chocolate brown. I am not sure how to pull this off so any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Teresa”

Teresa, I created your inspiration board with fall colors of burgundy, mustard yellow, flame orange, and chocolate brown — all which look fantastic next to one another! I love the deep fall tones! I think the bouquets would look great made up with burgundy roses, mustard and brown gerbera daisies, orange mums, and accented with the eggplant hydrangea. Then, you could wrap a chocolate brown ribbon around the bouquet stems. I hope you like your inspiration board!
