Angie’s Pool Blue and Fuchsia Wedding Inspiration Board

Angie writes:
“Needing Help….
Your inspiration boards look so much fun!! My dress is a Taffeta draped A-line gown with beaded lace appliques on bodice & skirt with a Chapel Train in Solid White. Each of my girls are wearing different dresses from David’s Bridal all in Pool Blue. I would like to tie bright pink/fuschia into the mix for my flowers. My wedding is on June 26th, 2010, so I wanted to keep things bright & happy!

Any suggestions?
Angie”

Angie, I created your inspiration board using flowers in turquoise, fuchsia, and shades of white. I even added a bouquet that has touches of chocolate brown. For the flower types I picked roses, gerbera daisies, and peonies. I think it would look great if you made the bouquets with the pink roses, the fuchsia and cream peonies, and the turquoise gerbera daisies. Or you could go with white and pink roses with the turquoise gerbs. Wrap a turquoise ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with pink pins. I hope this helps!

Shannon’s Fall Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

Shannon writes:
“My wedding dress is a light gold. My bridesmaids are wearing chocolate brown (all different styles). I want my flower colors to be yellow/gold, orange, dark red (fall colors) with a hint of green if it will match. I also love day lillies, orchids, and roses. NO BROWN FLOWERS, althought i don’t mind brown being in the bouquet, just not as a flower. I hope this makes sense. Please Help!!!!
Shannon”

Shannon, since you mentioned that orchids, roses, and lilies were your favorites, I created your inspiration board using all of them! I also included a spider dahlia in the mix, since it such a great looking flower. I also made sure to use gold/yellow, orange, burgundy for the flowers as well. I did put a few green pieces on the board so you could see all the colors together! I think the green really adds a brighter touch and would bring out all the other colors nicely! I hope you like your inspiration board.

Deborah’s Pink, Lavender, Brown, and Silver Inspiration Board

Deborah writes:
“These are my clients colors for an April wedding. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
Deborah”

Deborah, I created your inspiration board with flowers in bright pink, lavender, and brown as well as added some silver accents pieces. I think the bouquets would look fantastic with the brown and pink roses, accented with lavender hydrangea and silver ribbon (or the silver bouquet holder). I hope this board helps give you some ideas!

Erika’s Teal, Burgundy, and Cream Wedding Inspiration Board

Erika writes:
“Hello, my name is Erika. I am getting married April 2010 in CT. My colors are teal, burgundy and cream/goldish.

I like roses, callas, ranunculus, gerbera daisies. I am looking for something fun, fanciful and even though the rose and callas are very formal I am looking for something a little more whimsical. My theme for the wedding is candy, so you can see why I would like my bouquets and centerpieces to have a little whimsy as well as be beautiful. I would appreciate any help you can offer on ideas.

Thanks so much,
Erika Rubin”

Erika, I created your inspiration board using flowers in teal/turquoise, burgundy, and cream with gold accents. I inluced gerbera daisies, ranunculus, orchids, and roses. I also put a burgundy ribbon and gold/champagne pins for accent pieces. I think it would look great if you created your bouquets using maybe burgundy roses, cream and turquoise gerbera daisies, and accented with the cream/gold orchids as well as the burgundy lilies! Then, you could wrap the bouquet stems with a burgundy ribbon and champagne pins. I hope this helps!

Stefanie’s Berry and Ivory Wedding Inspiration Board

Stefanie writes:
“Hi LeAnne,
I found this site and saw many useful ideas. I am having a lot of trouble with a color scheme. I am getting married outside in the mountains in June, 2010. My wedding dress will look beautiful outside in the woodsy setting, but matching colors to it has been difficult. My dress is ivory and champagne lace over light gold, making it look almost like antique lace. We finally picked a berry color dress from alfred angelo that will match, but now I don’t know which flowers to pick for the bouquets and the centerpieces. Pinks, yellows, blues, oranges did not seem to match the champagne/ gold tones. We were thinking of maybe greens, creams, and berry or burgundy color flowers. Thank you for your help!
Stefanie”

Stefanie, I think if you picked some berry/burgundy colored flowers and paired them with ivories/creams, and some light greens — as you suggested. The creams and greens will brighten the bouquets but not compete with the beauty of the outdoors. Plus, these 2 colors will look great with the berry dresses! Then, you could add a burgundy/berry or moss green ribbon to the bouquet stems and brighten it up with some ivory pearl pins. I hope this helps give you some ideas.

Brittney’s Coral and Cornflower Wedding Inspiration Board

Brittney writes:
“Hi!

My name is Brittney, and I am getting married in Destin in June of 2011. We are using palm beach coral for the maid of honor’s dress and best man’s tie, and cornflower for the bridesmaids’ and groomsmens’ ties. My dress and the groom’s tie are just barely off white, and the guys will be in black dress pants and black button ups with ties (very simple).
I would greatly appreciate any ideas you may have for which flowers we should use! (My favorite flowers are gerbera daisies).

Thanks!
Brittney”

Brittney, I created your inspiration board using mostly gerbera daisies, but I also included some ranunculus and a pre-made bouquet as well. I picked flowers in coral/peach, blue, and cream. I think it would be very pretty if you created your bouquet using the blue ranunculus, cream gerbera daisies, and peach spider gerbera daisies. Then, you could wrap palm beach coral ribbon to wrap around the bouquet stems for the bridesmaids, and a blue ribbon for the maid of honor’s bouquet! For your bouquet, maybe simply make it a bit bigger or use the same flowers but in opposite colors. Example; blue and peach gerberas with cream ranunculus. I hope this helps!
