My name is Jan and I’m getting married on December 18, 2009 in the Caribbean. I need some guidance with what colors and types of flowers that would go best with my bridesmaid dresses.

My favorite color is in the purple family (Lavender and Lilacs!). There are four colors which I’ll be using for the bridesmaids dresses (orange/coral, lime green, lilac, banana). My maid of honor will be using the Lilac dress. I want lots of flowers. I love very beautiful bright colors too.

I thought of using cala lilies with the dresses and have each of the bridesmaids carry a single cala lily wich is the same color of that dress.The groomsmen will wear matching tie and shirts that will compliment the color of the dress.

Could you please share some suggestions and idears. I want my wedding day to be extremely beautiful. I have waited very long for this day.

Jan, I created your inspiration board with roses, dahlias, gerbera daisies, and calla lilies. I used all the colors from your wedding — lilac, banana yellow, lime green, and orange -coral. You could definitely have each of your girls carry a matching calla lily, however we unfortunately don’t have a purple calla that matches the bridesmaid’s dress! What if you incorporated all 4 colors into each bouquet? For example, maybe the green and periwinkle/lavender spider dahlias with the orange and yellow calla lilies? Or the yellow open roses, lavender rose buds, peach/coral gerbera daisies, and green calla lilies? Then not only would your bouquets have lots of flowers — then they would match all of the dresses! I hope this helps.

Suzette, I created your inspiration board using a few different flowers in coral, peaches, and dark red. I included orchids, roses, peonies, and gerbera daisies. I think a beautiful bouquet idea would be if you combined burgundy open roses, peach rose buds, and coral orchids. Then, you could wrap a burgundy ribbon around the bouquet stems and accent with some coral colored pearl headed pins! I hope this helps giveyou some ideas.
