Aja’s Clover, Ivory, and Gold Wedding Inspiration Board

Aja writes:
“My colors are ivory, clover and gold. I’ve finally decided to use artificial flowers instead of real flowers because of time constraints. My favorite colors are pink and green. I want to incorporate pink into the decorations for the ceremony as well as for the flowers for myself, bridesmaids and groomsmen.

I want color for the wedding. I would also like to incorporate kissing balls. Something to set off the clover green dresses and vests.

Aja M. Jackson”

Aja, I created your inspiration board using greens, pinks, and a bit of ivory, and a few gold accent pieces. I included hydrangea, peonies, 2 types of lilies, and a bells of ireland kissing ball. I think it would look great if you combined the ivory peony with the pink lily and accented with green hydrangea. Then, you could wrap a gold ribbon around the bouquets stems. Perhaps use a green hydrangea cluster for the boutonnieres and green hydrangea with a pink or cream green lily for the corsages. I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Wendy Beth’s Burgundy and Peach Wedding Inspiration Board

Wendy Beth writes:
“I would love help with floral ideas. I am really trying to debate between using artificial and real flowers and cost is the main factor….I am leaning towards the silk flowers to get it planned, created, and out of the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am having a late June 2010 wedding. Our color scheme is Burgundy/maroon with Peach accents. My groom and his attendants are not as big on the peach side so boutonnière help would be great.

Thanks again for all your help!!”

Wendy Beth, I created your inspiration board with mainly burgundy flowers, but of course, added a few peach ones as well. I also included some peach ribbon as well as a rose bud boutonniere — this way the men won’t have to wear peach! :) For the bouquets, what about creating them with burgundy open roses, peach rose buds, and maybe the burgundy lilies? Then, to bring a bit more of the peach color in, why not wrap a peach ribbon around the bouquet stems. I also attached a nice centerpiece photo for you to check out — just picture them with burgundy and peach! Hopefully, this will give you some ideas.

Kati’s Tiffany Blue, White, and Navy Wedding Inspiration Board

Kati writes:
“Hi there! I am getting married in July 2010 and my colors are tiffany box blue and white with navy accents. The girls dresses are tiffany box blue and white. I really want an ocean/nautical feel to the day. I’m trying to figure out what flowers would help pull of this feel and what colored flowers to use! Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!

Smile! :)
Kati”

Kati, I made your inspirationo board with a few different flower types in whites, blues, and even yellow. When I think nautical, I always think navy, white, and yellow. You could create your inspiration board with gerbera daisies in white, turquoise, and yellow and use navy ribbon as an accent. Or pair gerbs with roses. You could even do peonies and roses in the wedding bouquets for more of a classic look! For the centerpieces, you could get a clear short vase (maybe 5-6″ tall) fill it with turquoise gems, use yellow and white flowers and wrap a navy ribbon around the vase. I attached a few pictures for ideas. I hope this helps!

Alana’s Teal, Ivory, and Chocolate Wedding Inspiration Board

Alana writes:
“Hello! We are having a winter (Jan. 1, 2010) wedding in Austin, Texas and my colors are teal (oasis at davids bridal) chocolate and ivory. I’d like to incorporate peacock feather, but not so much its overwhelming. Can you help?

Sincerely,
Alana Villegas”

Alana, I created your inspiration board with peony, ranunculus, calla lilies, and gerbera daisies — all in ivories, browns, and turquoise. I was also sure to add the peacock feathers. In my opinion, I think it would look great if you created your inspiration board using brown and ivory calla lilies along with the turquoise ranunculus. You can then accent with peacock feathers. Perhaps 6-8 peacock “eyes” depending on how big the bouquets are. You can also incorporate the feathers into your centerpieces by placing 2-3 of then in a tall vase with a few calla lilies (brown and ivory). To bring in the turquoise, you could either fill the vase with turquoise gems, or wrap a ribbon around the vase. I hope this helps!

Vicki’s Red and White Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

Vicki writes:
“Hi- I am getting married July 10 2010. We are using red and white for colors. I need your help with choosing flowers and I’m not sure if I should throw a third color in or keep it red and white only. Please help with your expertise.

Thank you
Vicki”

Vicki, in my opnion, I love the combination of red and white flowers! They are just such a contrast in color and so beautiful! You could add another color however, and I included an eggplant and an orange gerbera daisy — both colors which would work well with red and white. I would suggest creating a bouquet starting with red flowers — say red roses — they filling in with a few large white lilies. Then, you could add red ribbon to the bouquet stems and accent with with pearl pins to tie it all together. Or how about using white roses and red gerbera? A thrid idea, white and red roses with accents of red feathers I hope this helps give you some ideas!

Orapin writes:
“Need help with flowers my dress is ivory and champagne. Groom has an ivory and champagne suit. Groomsmen in chocolate brown suit with terracotta tie. Bridesmaid in terracotta dress. Help I need help with all the flowers.
Thanks.
-Orapin”

Orapin, I created your inspiration board using roses, peony, gerbera daisies, and magnolia in shades of ivory, brown, and peaches — they look great next to the terrcotta dress! I also included some feathers — a great accent to any bouquet — ribbon, and pearl headed ivory pins. I think the bouquets would look great with chocolate roses, peach rose buds, and ivory peonies or beige magnolia. Then add the eggshell feathers, wrap some brown ribbon around the bouquet stems, and accent with the pearl pins. I hope this helps!

Angie’s Fall and Poppy Wedding Flower Inspiration Board

ByLeAnne

Angie writes:
“Good Afternoon!

I’m having a fall wedding in late September of 2010. I’ve attached styles/colors of the bridesmaids dresses, a truffle brown and a latte brown. I’d like to stay with the fall theme and have red and burnt orange flowers, maybe with some cream, and deep green or olive toned colors too. Also, I’d like to incorporate poppy’s in some how to either the bouquets or boutinerres since that will be my last name once married.

Thanks for your help!
Angie”

Angie, I created your inspiration board using gerbera daisies, roses, dahlia, and of course, poppy. :) I included some premade bouquets as well (which you could add the poppies to if you like the bouquets). I selected the flowers in burgundy, oranges, browns, greens, and some lighter tones — but you can pick whatever colors you like best for each flower. In mu opinion, I think a bouquet made of poppies, roses, and gerbs in flame oranges and reds would be gorgeous against the dresses. I hope you like your board.
